Anything to suit your ego sha..

It was state internal politics. It has nothing to do with tinubu..

They’ll vote massively for him next year..
we won't,take it from me. trust me.
that he is affiliated with tinubu was another factor that cost him the election.
for a lot of voters,a vote for oyetola is a vote for tinubu so it became a case of transferred aggression
I live in osun tinubu is not winning here any massively. that's the pure truth.

Oyetola is a very brilliant guy but he was designed to fail as a governor by Rauf Aregbesola. Unfortunately, Nigerians are very ignorant of what the issues are so they tend to make the wrong political decisions at every election cycle.

Oyetola’s major offense was not executing big contracts and sharing money like Rauf did. Some, especially Osogbo people also hated him for fighting Rauf. But truth be told, what’s in Rauf’s legacy that should be continued? Crazy debt? Crazy religious policies? Crazy educational policies? None payment of salaries? What exactly?

The governor inherited a crippling debt portfolio from Rauf. The state’s monthly allocation was not even enough to meet the servicing of the debt left by Aregbesola not to talk of paying salaries and executing contracts. Still, he managed to keep the state together.

He had two choices as governor, take more crazy loans that the state can’t payback in the next 100 years or cut down on government projects and prioritize payment of salaries, repayment of loan and execution of only emergency projects. He choose the second option and got punished for it.

People, including political contractors simply wanted huge contracts to be awarded everywhere without caring about where the money would come from. They wanted a governor who would come to Osogbo round about and stand on the roof of his car and share money. Oyetola refused all these and they hated him.

I sincerely wish Ademola Adeleke well but I’m eagerly waiting to see what he will do differently considering the huge debt portfolio of the state.
Thank you sir/ma. You have said it all.
If you ask xivil servant, if their salary are been paid. They all say yes.
He's not owing pensioners.
I just pity osogbo people especially, i hope and pray they will not regret this action.
Indeed Oyetola is a prudent and visionary leader.
We dont value what we have.It is a pity.
We shall be here after four years of Adeleke to also examine his administration. All the best to Osun State

Where is the money to promote his work on TV? Most people don’t understand the debt situation in Osun. Wasting the little resources available on TV ads would have been very irresponsible of him.

With the way I’m seeing Adeleke and his family, they will want to show that they are different and hence, take more crazy loans to develop white Elephant projects. I’m praying for Osun right now.

I don't think Osun disliked Oyetola because he fought with Aregbesola. Osun hated him right from the bat because he was Aregbesola's candidate in the first election.

I remembered how same thing played out in Ondo state. Mimiko wasn't paying pension and salaries regularly thus, the people of Ondo state fought against the successor he brought out. They preferred to vote for Akereedolu

Same thing played out with Oyetola. The people of Osun didn't like the fact that Aregbesola owed pension and salaries hence wouldn't vote for his successor. It was by miracle through which Oyetola got in the first election because it was close. Now, they don't trust Oyetola for second term because they believed he would behave like Aregbesola.

I was very specific about Osogbo people. If you check the result of the 2018 election, you will notice that Oyetola won massively in Osogbo despite the salary and pension problem. In fact, Osogbo voters made him governor. 4 years later, he lost Osogbo heavily. Even the Ataoja of Osogbo publicly endorsed Adeleke and said they supported Oyetola 4 years ago simply because of Aregbesola.

While Rauf was busy amassing debts and mismanaging state's resources, why did APC keep quiet and rewarded him with a second term and later, a ministerial position where he has gone further to display his incompetency with the recurrent jailbreaks?

You people don't understand what truly transpired, that's why you're taking those emotional people seriously.

Oyetola was NEVER Aregbesola or any APC Leader in Osun candidate.

Oyetola was an unpopular candidate, He was forced on Aregbesola and Party in general by Tinubu.

Because Aregbesola didn't want to fight his Leader, he agreed with him and campaigned for Oyetola AGAINST THE WISH OF OSUN APC LEADER.

That's why some of them decamped and even cast aspersions on Aregbesola and not even Oyetola then. They felt he betrayed them by accepting Tinubu's choice.

Oyetola got there and start dealing heavily with anything or anyone that's not in his camp.

Even he jailed Osun APC TOP Leaders

Even though I am not an APC fan, I will say Oyetola is the best governor Osun state ever had. I have followed the administration of all the previous governors in the state right from Bisi Akande, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Rauf Aregbesola.
I guess things didn't just work well for him due to the hatred for Tinubu and APC. The fall out with Aregbe and other APC stakeholders is also a reason

God bless you! Nigerians are ignorant and dont listen! We are too rash to look for change! We want to eat our cake and have it! I really pity Osun people. Oyetola is a gentle man to the core! He is not the populist type who fights dirty like Aregbesola. May God save Osun from Adeleke! The same way Nigerians were in a hurry during GEJ. Nigerians voted APC in 2015 and want to chase them away now! Ignorance is a disease! I am waiting for Nigerians again as the impatient youths want to vote OBI. I can bet it with you that weighing the three presidential candidates, Tinubu is still the best of them. But the rash youths desire a change right now which is elusive!

True. This is one of the reasons why I don't like this western-style democracy.
dalongjnr:
This is a house of card. I know that the next governor will not do well because he has to recover his investment. Imagine investing billions on campaigns and also, trying to pleased the people of your party at the "center" through dues, gifts, contracts, and sponsorships of campaigns and other party programs, mostly as an opposition political party!
I wish Adeleke well but he will surely fail if he's not resolute with financial decisions.
