Good day fam,

Please I'm interested in the 90 days Treasury bills but I don't really have much knowledge.

What's the current rate?

Is there a minimum amount I can buy?

Where can I possibly approach to get it done?

Thanks

The current rate as per the primary auction is as shown in the table ie stop rate is 2.75%. To invest walk into the banking hall of your bank and make inquiries. I know IBTC used to accept 100k and above. Otherwise, you can invest in MMF as a better alternative.

Please gurus help me choose

Investment of 5m

1. Treasury bill at 5.5% pa

2. Buy dollar @ 605
If you don't have expenses in naira in the short term, I would say diversify NGN 20% and USD 80%.

Invest the NGN in Tbills at 5.5%
Invest the USD in Eurobonds circa 8% or buy $VOO, $VTI if you're into stocks

My primary advise has always being to invest in dollars. But more importantly try to earn in dollars.

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Tobex4realTobex234(m): 9:06am On Jul 20, 2022
Dollar limit on naira cards are now $20/month.
Virtual USD cards are being banned left and right.
PTA has been almost impossible to access from the banks.
Getting forex to pay for school fees has become increasingly difficult.

So, the dollar rate is not artificial, just wait for September admission Japa wave to U.K and January admission wave to U.S, if CBN doesn't provide forex for these needs, the scarcity of dollar would push it to 650 by 2023.

Supported.
I bought dolar at @570 in April this year at 8% per annum. Currently it goes for 640 as at this morning. Representing 12% increase in just 4months.
God help our country.
