Let me tell you, if Tinubu had consulted thede leaders before choosing Shettima maybe they would have respected his choice and felt encouraged that they are safe. Now he is beating a dead horse.

actually this whole religion in power talk is new to us as Nigerians it has not always been there......and federal character is so all states in the country are represented and has nothing to do with religion......if by your thinking that federal character includes religion then those who are Ifa worshippers and those who consult Amadioha should also be given a chance it should not be just Muslim and Christians.......ps who among all the presidential aspirants has demonstrated the practice of federal character principle more than Tinubu? Everyone from everystate in Nigeria had a place in his government while he was governor and that practice continues till date in Lagos.

I observed so many fake account created immediately Tinubu named his VP. These fake accounts follow the same pattern. They all claim to be Yoruba of Christian faith against the Tinubu presidency. We busted one a few days ago by the name *yorubalandlord*. We know their plan and will keep busting them. We also know what region all of them are from. grin. My fellow Yorubas, please don’t be fooled. Kindly check the dates those accounts were created. Most of them were created probably a week prior to the deadline to submit the list of candidates and VP’s when it was already obvious Tinubu was picking a northerner. The number of fake accounts only exploded immediately Shetimma was confirmed


Older generation Yoruba’s know the history of Nigeria and would never collaborate with those from that region to bring down our own. The younger ones don’t know the treachery of those from that region. I’m 33, so I still consider myself part of the younger generation Yoruba. I’ve studied the history of Nigeria so I know them very well. Lol. Those guys are so hate filled, covetous and jealous of our heritage. Check pre and post independence. Lol.

Nigeria is not a country, it’s a vast landmass made up of many countries forced to live together. Oduduwa is a country within Nigeria, every tribe is looking to fight for their interest in this Nigeria we unfortunately find ourselves in. For us Yorubas, Yoruba preservation should the of utmost importance. Our interest should be paramount. I’m an Awoist and Nationalist Yoruba. Yoruba interest comes first before Nigeria. I make no apologies for that. It’s that simple. Till we get our country, I’ll keep speaking out for Yoruba interest in this dysfunctional landmass we find ourselves in.

I have followed nairaland since 2016 but only registered a couple of months ago specifically to reply someone here. I’m not a social person, so I’m not interested in replying anyone. I’ll simply drop my thoughts here once in a while on topics that touch me.

If Tinubu had the balls to pick a Muslim for his VP in a country where Christians are being murdered in the north without ramifications, then he should have the balls not to visit anyone. You've already made your choice clear. You've made your bed, go lie on it.
