Hello, I'll be landing in Toronto on the 31st of this month. Anyone with a room or shared apartment for rent should please hit me up. Thanks |

House34: Some do ask and I have seen it happen. one person had to show their current bank statement to support what they said in their application. Another one had to show cash. As a visitor be ready for anything. Remember, it is up to the border agent to allow you in or not. 2 Likes |

Please any tips for getting a house in Canada before landing. I have too many little kids so I’d prefer to get a house b4 we travel but I’ve been on Facebook marketplace and Kijiji for over two weeks now and all of them are asking for pay stubs, credit check and the rest, even when I say we can pay 2-3 months in advance. I’ve contacted some agents too, same thing. I need new ideas |

Allegory:Consider renting an Airbnb apartment for a short while. Once you're inside Canada, your chances of getting an apartment for rent will increase since you can now meet the landlord in person. 3 Likes |

@ednut1 and all other participants...good morning all...I wish us a lovely day ahead... I've been following this thread for some time and I must say kudos to all who has contributed massively and positively to thread...you have given me an insight for someone like me who doesn't know much about immigration and it's process...Now,the thing is I currently have an HND in accounting and Bsc economics respectively, will start my MBA next year...I'll be moving with my fiancee whom I plan to marry soon...she has a bsc in accounting and she's contemplating not to write ican since it's not needed...the question is, -Does she need to do acca diploma in IFRS or masters -Will an estimated amount of 9 million naira be enough (that's what I have currently though....will have more as I save) -i also learnt about diploma course to be taken in unilag...how relevant is this -as I stated earlier,I will start by MBA this year . .will this add to my scores.... what's our faith if We both have the MBA degree Your timely response is appreciated...thanks |

Allegory: Gatineau is in Quebec. But some folks live there and work in Ottawa. I am not sure how OINP works but, I know some provinces requires you to reside in the province for certain amount of years (it is part of the requirements). |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by legionISproteus: 11:22pm On Jul 21, 2022 |
maziude: Have they learned Québécois French? Allegory:You would not want to ruin your immigration plans, would you? Immigrants under PNP are required to reside in the province of choice for a period of time. I do not think it has changed for now. |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by maziude: 12:09am On Jul 22, 2022 |
legionISproteus: I lived in Gatineau for 2 years and I don’t speak French. The only complication is when filing taxes, especially if you live in Gatineau and work in Ottawa which can be resolved if you use tax consultant. 1 Like |

Yes DM for pictures. It is a good AirBnB to stay for a short time while hunting for a more permanent house. It is 600 CAD per week with further discounts if staying for 2-3 months. Fully furnished, room, sitting room, dining, kitchen, bathroom and toilet and all inclusive. Teeores: |
