stop mocking people ,you dont know their situation.If you have suffered before you might understand.No condition is permanent.as far back as 2014,when I resigned as a banker and used my savings to do biz .I lost everything,I suffer with my gf sotey we dey cook beans half done before we eat.we eat once a day ..staying in one room.we suffer too much,if rain dey fall water dey enter the room..we open door to pack water out as rain dey fall.But today am not lacking.i went from zero to 100 with legal hustle.So pls dont conclude.Reading all these experience dey bring back some of the memories I repressed long ago.

Some would come to ur personal home with a family member ask u for money and tell u based on how hard the country is they want to set up business for either their husband or wife or one of their family members and tell u to lend them so so amount of money that they will be giving u so so amount everyday. Maybe first month they pay u sth after that they never pick up ur calls again

This is the breakdown of how we survive:
#200 transport for me (for 5working days)
#50transport for him only to cos he do follow a colleague after work, the colleague owns a bike.
Feeding
Sunday stew: 2k
Rice: #1800
This will last us till Tuesday morning.
Tuesday afternoon we will cook beans 5cups (#375) potatoes #200. I'll put 2pcs of Maggi seasoning (#30) salt #20 though I'll not finish it.
This will last till Wednesday morning.
Wednesday afternoon I'll cook soup depending on the soup sha but it doesn't exceed 2k.
Corn food I usually grind the one that will last us for two weeks (#1500).
This will last us till Saturday morning.

Unlike Nigeria, I am not owing anybody.

Let me teach you small financial intelligence. When I give loans to friends and relatives, we must.....
1: sign a contract
2: get a guarantor or a collateral
3: I borrow without interest but if I give you 250k for instance, we calculate the dollar equivalent as at that day. You must agree to refund me in dollars. The exchange rate must surely go up and that is my interest.
4: I don't keep up to 500k in naira per time. I save my money in foreign currencies.
5: whenever I am running short of naira, I reduce my expenditure until money enters again.
6: if it is not investment, health issue or a matter of life and death, I will not have any need to convert my money to naira. I'd rather sell some of my stuffs. Some people will think it's because am broke but it's not. I have stuff that I know deep down that I don't truly need. Eg TV sets in all my rooms, washing machines of different sizes, several pay TV decoders, multiple standing fans plus a/c and ceiling fans etc.

Some of these stuffs were bought to support the hustles of friends and family relatives.

Each time I sell my stuffs, I know I have exceeded some financial limits and I adjust. This is my rule, it might not work for everyone.

This thread is a shocker. I can understand single people without much expenses earning 30K or less but the number of people here with kids earning that amount is staggering.

Bro, I am 36, married with two kids, a teacher In private secondary school. I earn 30k/month. It doesn't even come regularly. I've not been paid June salary uptil now.

Marriage is expensive, anyone saying otherwise is lying. Most married men do secretly regret when they face financial challenges, some do come to me for assistance, but they just have to move on as there is nothing they can do. Since they are already in it.
