Hello. Most of the information you need can be found online. Generally, you apply through TLS in Dublin 9. Submit an online application, pay the fees and then book an appointment for biometrics and submission of your documents. How long it takes is dependent on whether you are applying for standard, priority or super priority visa. Note that the decision period of each visa category is stated on their website. In addition, given the number of years you have previously lived in the UK, it is not out of place if you apply for 5 years or even 10 years visit visa. Your current status in Ireland could make a difference on the length of years you can get. Cheers.

If your stay in the UK at the time was legitimate all through - go for the 2 years visa straight up if you have the funds available - 2 years visiting visa is 376 pounds ; 6 months is 100 pounds ;

You will need to show you have strong reasons to return to Ireland e.g. a confirmation letter from your school with details of the duration of ur program etc. ; if on a work permit a letter from your employer , payslips etc. - finally 3 to 6 months bank statement showing enough funds.

In these 2 years, can I enter and leave multiple times as I please, or is there some restriction of some sort? cos I read on their site (screenshot below) something to do with not for frequent visits. Like how long or frequent could be considered living a long period of time?

It depends on what you want to study if you ask me.
but immigration laws here are way more flexible than in UK.For example, lots of people's visa expired during covid or lots of people couldn't get Job because of covid and the Irish govt have given 5 extensions to people's stay since then. They just announced the 6th extension meaning people who have not gotten job can have their stay extended for about 6months.
right now I would say there are new jobs and people are getting jobs even though it is very competitive.
So what program are you coming to study in ireland?

So I have a friend preparing for her journey to Ireland. Via Turkish Airline, but the challenge is luggage. The 23kg x2 capacity isn't clearly enough for clothes, shoes and most importantly foodstuffs.

Can an extra 23kg box or 15kg be accepted to mk it 3 bags � any additional costs associated? How much ? Especially when it has to do with Turkish Airlines.
