Before there's a mis communication.

The Presidential Guards is a branch of the Nigerian army in charge of security in Abuja, parts of Niger state and parts of Nassarawa state.

The Attack happened in Bwari(Bwari is on the outskirts of Abuja), the intended target was the Nigerian Law school in Bwari.

A Nigerian army patrol came under attack, however the attack was repelled, although the army lost 3 soldiers.

I think the security situation around Abuja is about the seriously deteriorate, except the security agencies launch an operation to nip this in the bud. You don't have to be a security expert to see this coming.

We don't even know if the terrorists are foreigners from Niger and Chad or they are the Fulani people of Nigeria.

How come do terrorists have access to basic supplies and who's supplying them?

Are the actions of the terrorists politically sponsored or are they orders to be carried out for Al-Qaeda/ISIS?

Nigeria focuses more on the military, and its killing other paramilitary forces,
If for some reason immigration and the police cannot patrol our borders or prison officers create special prison protection unit, do you expect the country to be safe.

I'm glad the fight is no longer limited to the fringes of lake Chad or some villages in the South.

Luckily SA have been a world leader in the field of tactical communication systems for decades now

Commanders can't do anything about it unless military procurement acquires them. It's a matter of competing priorities within the military... If commands can be given and executed, then the financial department won't see the need to purchase.

..... maybe until a time when a whole mission was compromised because the commander had to shout across the field, only then they'll look into it.
