I have gone through the first 10 pages of this thread and even the previous ones through the links provided.

Now these are the questions, confusion and worries I have as at now;

1. How do I get a school to apply to for my wife? I have tried google but most time, I get same response that do not help or not enough, so I will appreciate if you can direct me on some list of schools to check and apply to for my wife. I am also considering the tuition in this place, so I want moderate tuition schools.

2. After Application, are we to proceed to the Visa office for the Visa Application and when do we start getting our POF documents ready?

I am anticipating your answer sir/ma as I want to start the school application process as soon as possible and see how far we can go in short time.

I am really grateful for your response Mimilyrics, you have done more than what google will even do cos, trust me, it can be so confusing especially when you don't have a clear direction, but what you've done is to make it so simple for me to relate with and run with. Furthermore, on the No 2;
- Are you saying once we know the school fees/tuition, we can go ahead to start sourcing for funds to use as POF? How then do we know how much we need as POF? will this be included as information during application to the school or how do we get to know the exact POF needed?

- Where do I come in as a dependent in the whole application process? Is it at the point after the CAS has been issued to my wife or when?. Cos I understand that there are some test both the MA and the dependent must do, example is the TB test. Will that be done together or differently. (I hope you understand my question).

It all started in 2015...
I tried study visa in Australia it failed...
In 2017-2018 , i tried
America , student visa , failed.. i studied this tread back to back and fail at four attempt for American student visa.
Seriously, i gave up on anything visa or studying abroad..
It was my younger brother who begged me to pls try uk , i said i have family and cant be throwing money away like this ...
In 2022 i reluctantly tried that of Uk student visa and came back to this tried again..
This time , i was just reading as usual and expecting to have the same results...
Note i already have 17 years study after my BSC...
To God be the glory my uk student visa landed today... It seems to me like a dream.
For all those awaiting visa, yours will come through soonest and you will testify too.

You're welcome.

Yes. You will need to show school fees + maintenance. School fees will be on the course page + the offer letter. Maintenance is in the UKVI link in my comment.
For your wife: School fees or balance + maintenance of £1,334 per month * 9 months for inside London OR
School fees or balance + maintenance of £1,023 per month * 9 months for outside London.
For you, the dependant: Maintenance of £845 a month * 9 months for inner London OR
Maintenance of £680 a month * 9 months for outside London.

The dependant's application is hinged on the main applicant's. If you're applying at the same time, then get your documents and evidence at the same time. If not, get your documents (eg. TB test) like a month before you apply + the evidence your spouse's legal stay in the Uk (visa vignette/BRP/Student status letter. If applying within a few months of the main applicant, please ensure that the main applicant's POF or receipts (rent, tuition etc.) is available to show that the funds are truly available and not recycled, if requested at any point in time.

I sent paid mail and got reply today that my case has been escalated to the concerned department.
No decision since 6weeks... What do you think is going on please

Please I have a complain, my dependant did her biometric June 9th. Made a paid call June 27th and got a response decision has been made but until today she’s get to get a pick up mail. I have sent an escalation mail last week. Still nothing yet . I’m very worried.

Those guys at tls can help you escalate it too. Put a call through to them or I'd you live closer to the tls centre go there like you are for collection then when it's not found tell them to escalate it cos it's over 6 weeks and you got mail decision has been made
