The only time changing to $ then naira will benefit you is when £1=$1 and $1 to a naira gives you more than £ else it’s garbage in garbage out.

Never mind, you still don't understand.

It's not ideal to string them along, but if the COS issued is not used, there's a process for businesses to get their money back from home office, so you might as well let things play out. Just make sure you're going with the best offer not simply the first to offer COS.

I'm not sure if it'll make sense to have more than 1 COS. One of the companies just sent me this

788 at the moment

If it's ₦788 - £1 here, Alhaji Bako at Ogunlana drive is already selling at ₦810 - £1......... wink

I'm not informed enough to give you definitive advice, but HO might not issue a second COS if there's already one in the works from a different employer.
In any case, since they're already saying you'd be on the hook if they apply for COS but you're unable to meet other requirements, you can stall and tell them you're sorting out your finances to ensure you're able to fulfill other requirements, while you wait to see what the other companies come back with.

Is there no one to advise?

My advice is let the main applicant alone come, especially if it's the husband. Getting an apartment in Glasgow right now is crazy. If you take airbnb, you might get stuck longer than you planned or at most get pressured into taking a shitty apartment

Getting a place straight away would be pure luck

Do the CBN and the FGN even have a handle on their monetary policy or is the Nigerian economy just on autopilot and cruise control?

I guess it’s free fall from here until after the 2023 elections?

It’s very worrying that in spite of the GBP being very weak, it has gained so much on the NGN in such a short time. Tough day ahead embarassed

Correct, I still don’t know how people fail that theory, looks simple to me. Met a British guy who came for third time. If you use the dvla app only for practice. One should pass it once. Passed mine yesterday as well. 49 and 55.

Theory test passed moving on to driving lessons and then practical

Don’t you think all these apps are our problems? Oanda as at now is £1 to #499. Even going down. So I strongly believe all these apps dey encourage black market rates. I don’t think there is black market for Euro to pounds or pounds to Dollar. All these apps needs to be killed before they kill us as a country to be honest. They are making stupid money while the country as a whole suffer for it. There should be strong protest from government against these yeye apps.

Lol.
Why would there be, when the currencies are freely convertible.
Black markets arise when the supply of an item does not satisfy demand.

Exactly my point. Government should be able to kill black market business unless they don’t want to.
