I happen to witness the incident, and I'd say both are at fault, there were just few cars bfr the soldier's bus which the police saw, it cost the police nothing to spare few minutes to allow the soldiers pass for sake of peace bfr stopping other cars, they might have been on orders and late coming is always punished in the military. And when they came down in rage to question the policemen, the police men to were showing power and superiority hence reasons for the damages

The Soldiers were wrong to beat them and the Government also got greater blame for not fixing traffic light, in a saner clime the duty of Traffic Police is to ensure traffic light are obeyed strictly not to stand and control traffic with their hands. but this is 9ja
Police no dey respect soja at all ,they got what dey deserve unfortunately dea was a death

embarassed This is Tinubu's Lagos in action, this sort of crap was unheard of during GEJ or Obasanjo. APC is a very demonic party that must be avoided at all costs, spits.
This one na buhari effect.
When he routinely sends soldiers to gun down unarmed civilians, the soldiers themselves will feel they can do and undo

No matter who you are, you’re supposed to respect a traffic stop wether you’re the president.

The military does not have their own rules. They must abide by the same laws of the country.

We have to ask ourselves what the policemen did to provoke the soldiers. Remember civilians don't give soldiers the proper respect and think they can do anyhow around them.

This comment makes zero sense.

I agreed with you, but the police are at Greater fault here, I had witnessed such stands off time and again, And as always it was started by the police and their overzealousness,

A lone soldier was on his way to work, and seems to be running late, a young guy at that,
now he board a bike as a fast means to get to work, police stop bike, ask soldier to dismount, ( no respect, ) and proceeded to seize the bike after pleading with the police to consider him, and return the bike keys, it falls on deft ears, and the police even insulted him,

That's when to soldier lost it, it took begging from the most senior police among them to calm him down,

those three officers are disrespectful, a coaster bus, containing soldiers cannot be stopped for such silly excuses, it's and insult, even after the soldiers came down, they should have at least allowed them to pass thru

^^^
Still more nonsense. Total nonsense.

Why would the Army be allowed to pass before the civilians?
Were they on emergency duty? If they were, there’d be another vehicle with a siren indicator before their bus or on their bus.

This was just cowardice and an unnecessary display of strength by the Army. This is one of the reasons Nigeria remains a shithole of a country where anything goes.

Just 2 days ago, I was harrased, punched, slapped and insulted by 5 policemen for doing nothing cause every boy they see now is into fraud shit.
It was painful and humiliating for me but they couldn't break me cause I created a scene for them, I insulted, challenged and even made some phone calls of which made them drove off like the cowards they are.

Sorry for this one though. Rip

A simple matrer as traffic issue? The army should learn to minimise deadly force or engagement. They cam arrest without beating if they know they are in their right or being disrespected by overzealous police officers.

This was totally unnecessary and should be communicated to all division as guidelines.

30 Soldiers against 1 police officer.
Boko Haram and Northern terrorist Bandits took the war to the Soldiers Barracks and killed them thereby exposed their weakness

Baba forget all that. In a sane country, no one is above the law. Even here in London, police and other emergency personnel obey the traffic order unless when there's emergency of which could be indicated by the use of siren (s).

To Nigerian Military, they see themselves as god's; no respect for law and likewise the citizens too!

Really? They were in a hurry and couldn't wait for 3 minutes but were not in a hurry to fight and beat the policemen for 15-20 minutes? The reason why Nigeria would continue not to work is this your type of reasoning.
Is Nigeria the only country with a military? Why are we not hearing that those who are supposed to be the most disciplined professionals are always messing up in places like even Ghana?
If these soldiers do not acknowledge constituted authority like traffic police. how are you sure they would obey traffic light? They would as well endanger the lives of other road users by refusing to stop at traffic lights because being a soldier means being above the law or rather, being lawless.

Would those soldiers beat up ISWAP, Boko Haram and Bandits who are ready to meet them fire for fire? Do we not see them complain of poor equipment and superior firepower when the chips are down? Let's just admit that this country isn't working bruv

You dey mind that dumb f***?? Any person giving an excuse for the animalistic actions of those soldier certainly belongs to a zoo.

What issue are they resolving? Curt marshal all of them and then try them as civilians afterwards for murder. With that others will learn.
