This Seller replaced the 4, 280Ah Cells, all the way from China, at "No Cost" to me (except the Dispatch delivery to my House) and to my surprise, even included a Letter of Apology and a beautiful, cuddly Souvenir Gift!

Some Chinese sellers are super awesome. I've had one replace a charge controller 20 months after it was sold. I just mentioned it in passing that the charge controller I bought has failed, I was hoping to get a lil discount on my next buy. The seller informed me that the charge controller is under a 2 year warranty that they will replace it. They ask that I send them video evidence and pictures, I did. Next week I got a call from DHL that I have a package. I went and it was a brand new charge controller!

This was a charge controller that I bought for nearly $400.

I can only imagine what will happen if the seller is a Nigerian

This depends on a lot of factors and you can get away with it.
The older batteries if you did not abuse them anyhow.
If you have a very big bank to share all the load.
Like George said minimum 6months use, you can mix.
Like stated earlier if, you did not abuse your older batteries anyhow you can get away with anything.
Watch videos about mixing older batteries .
I have a bank that is a year old mixed with newer battery banks.

When I got there I measured with my clamp meter. And there was a 28 to 30a difference.

The particular Mppt controller is rated 80a and it was showing 70+ Amps on its screen. When I measured with clamp meter I was measuring around 40 amps. The gap was wide. We went to his house to measure the other one of 100a and we got same result, which is around 30a deficit. Home and office controller useless just like that.
I just gave him 80a fangpusun flexmax for the office and he testified good result even in poor weather. It's expensive but then you get value for your money.

So when you get controller of unknown brands do your checks very well. Below is a picture of the said mppt.

this type of controllers are ultra cheap and prone to issues...no be 8k dem dey sell am so?.

if you can rule out the CC being the problem, check your solar panel or battery connections, either the connection is loose or the solar panel or battery is going bad

I use "normal" pwm cc without problems.
From my experience, Your battery is toast.

If it is a true 1600A psw, then half of it should power it. What make is your inverter?
