what a foolish man.... if he was rich in the US he would A) have a washing machine in his own house and B) have a maid to do his laundry for him (regardless of her salary, since you are rich)

this dude should stop talking about what he doesnt know. being rich is sweet WHEREVER YOU MAY BE IN THE WORLD!

He is simply saying that he thought he was rich until he went to America. He realised that in America, his so called wealth in Nigeria can only afford him the life of an average American where he has to use public utilities if he wants to survive

He is so correct. Back in 9ja i had a cleaner and driver but here in London, I do everything myself and I don't even own a car yet. Being rich is "sweater" in 9ja. I miss home

Context is important, and your context is great just like everyone's context is great too... But don't forget not everyone have or can afford a maid or even washing machine in the US.

What is rich anyways?... Do you think this rapper that have good health and can walk down the street to do laundry and take pictures and walk back home is not rich?

There are billionaires that don't consider themselves rich.

The clown is right
It’s because of the poverty rate in Africa.

The poverty rate has made everybody a slave to money.

In the west almost everybody is either rich or comfortable so if u think u are rich na for ur head

Being Rich Is Only Sweet In Africa — Rapper Speed Darlington Shares His Experience (Video)

It is all about mindset. Poverty is a disease.

Things that rich people do as hobbies are what poor people do out of necessity. A rich person pays thousands per month to join a gym to lift heavy objects while poor people do it at job sites for tokens.
Oyibo man fixes his cars/machines as hobby. A rich African does not want to get dirty--it is below his/her class. How many rich Africans care to know how their cars work? It is all about consumption and protruding bellies grin grin and their life expectancy is only 54 years. Do you still wonder why? Our big men glorify whatever can lead them to untimely death--obesity, fast food and no physical activities.

Rich DIYers attract disdain in Nigeria.

every rich person in the US can afford a maid OR AT LEAST A DAMN WASHING MACHINE.

What is rich anyways?... Do you think this rapper that have good health and can walk down the street to do laundry and take pictures and walk back home is not rich?

abeg dont mix apples with oranges....Speed Darlington is a broke Nigerian Immigrant in the US, who cant even afford a washing machine!

There are billionaires that don't consider themselves rich.

i can bet my left ball that NONE of the above you mentionned go do their own laundry in laundromat.

He is simply saying that he thought he was rich until he went to America. He realised that in America, his so called wealth in Nigeria can only afford him the life of an average American where he has to use public utilities if he wants to survive

but A) this man is not even rich in Africa and B) you dont need to be rich in Africa to have a maid....so comapring his sorry life in the US with that of rich people is clueless!

BeanmanX:
Unfortunately he's not rich dats why he's complaining,,,,

the problem is not the complaint, the problem is him comparing his broke state in the US, as if he was rich in Nigeria. but the reality is that, in Nigeria, you dont need to be rich to get a housegirl/boy who would do your laundry.

Atleast he is in America while u dey Ogbomosho wey nepa no dey

what does traveling got to do with common sense?! so because we are all posting on NL, that automatically means that we are all in Nigeria (or even Africa)?!
the dude is a fukcing Uber driver in the US. only a very foolish person believes that you could be rich (in the US or even Nigeria) by being a Uber driver. as for his failed yeyebrity status, thats for another discussion!

rickleye:
There are classes of being rich
There lower class ( Hollywood Actors and Athletes, Musicians ) , middle class ( company CEO’s and Fortune 500 companies) and upper class rich ( bill gates, Zuckerberg, Elon’s)
He’s po’ rich .

what class of being rich is the one that cannot afford a washing machine?!

Due to poverty, it is only here they treat rich people like gods. But in advanced countries where everyone has basic amenities, you're just another guy on the street.
This is pure lie.
Rich people carry unequal influence everywhere in the world.
Speed darlington is an average man just trying to survive.
Gates or Zuckerberg will never be found in a laundromat. They own their own side of an island!

I don't think so bro. Did you see Elon Musk doing his laundry too?
There are levels to these things.
You may seem rich in Africa but when you reach some places, you then understand that you have not started.
