Hello Haiziik, hope you’re good. Please, can I have your number or direct email that I can contact you on? I’m having a similar problem on my Tier 5 application and would love to have a conversation with you to know somethings. That’s if you don’t mind. Thanks.

Haiziik:
My application was escalated on 07/07/2022. They said I should wait 15 working days before contacting. With what I've read online, I'm not sure it add so much but it's a step towards the right direction. We can only wait and wait... Waiting is crazy though, been waiting since 2nd February

Please how long does standard Visitor's VISA take these days.
I'm planning to leave exactly 8 weeks between my biometric and my exam date in November. Please...Will this be enough out in this period?

How many weeks is the earliest in this period for first time applicant?

It appears to be taking 8 weeks now, those who had waited for like 6 weeks and contacted the centre were asked to wait until after the 8th week, however, you can't take this to the bank some have had theirs attended to in less than 6 weeks, while some are still waiting after like 8,9,10 weeks.

It’s best to apply atleast 3 months to the date you intend to travel. This will put less pressure on everyone.

That’s like 12 weeks just to be on the safe side though we have seen people on here with application of more than 12 weeks and still counting.

Naira cards are no longer working you either use a dorm card if you've got one, or simply ask someone outside o help you with the payment. It costs just £2.70.

All the best.

If you have a stanbic Naira master card, this should work. Used this recently for myself and husband in the last 2 weeks.

Is this recent?
I used stanbic Ibtc Naira master card on the 2nd of August for a paid mail and it went through.

Well I've told them to cancel my application and return my passport. They are telling me I need to wait. What kind of wahala is this? Is it by force. This is getting ridiculous. How can you hold my passport for almost two months? Like I have nothing else to do with it!

This is ridiculous!
Please have you gotten your passport now?
You shouldn’t wait for your passport m. I guess something has happened to those that apply at that time that they are not saying because I don’t know how renewal visa is taking 3 months to be issued.
They are not being honest and they are not disclosing what has happened: it’s unfair.

I had no idea i could use 3 months bank statement when my salary was delayed a few months ago which eventually led to a refusal (i was paid the money owed after i had submitted my documents and sadly i didn't write a cover letter)

Currently, i am trying to build my account. The real issue is that the organization i work for gets money semi annually for payment of salaries and sometimes delay happens (African factor)due to reasons above my pay grade, this usually happens beginning of the year and mid year and honestly if i were to wait for consistent payment for 6 months straight before reapplying, i may have to wait a long time. So my questions are:

- Can i use a 5months bank statement when reapplying? - Definitely you can
- If salary is delayed and eventually paid, will i need to indicate it on the cover letter and explain in detail what caused the delay and add my
bank statement as proof? Yes, please explain in detail
- My salary account is a dorm account, is there a need to provide my Naira accounts? I only use them for my daily expenses. Yes. Providing evidence of your daily expenses will help
- Will i need to provide a new introduction letter from my company or will my employment contract/certificate suffice? - An introduction letter is good but not compulsory. I usually get an introduction letter and then add a copy of my staff ID card, letter of employment, promotion, salary increase etc. I suggest you add any document that proves your employment
- If i were to withdraw a sizable amount from my account to fund a holiday trip, would that be a red flag? - No, it should not. You may choose to explain what you used the money for but it's not compulsory. The red flag occurs when you have large inflow into your account - not outflow.
- Can i still add my land papers acquired 2 years ago? I didn't include it in my former application. Yes, please do. It might help your case.

My biggest challenge honestly is the salary thing, i don't know how to work around it. - I totally understand and empathize with you. The consistency of your salary is very important. However, if you are honest, fill your form carefully, provide genuine documents and write a detailed cover letter, you will be fine. Afterall, entrepreneurs don't have monthly salaries and they get visas. Pray for favour. God is more than able.
P.S - I am not in a hurry to go to the UK, I am only trying to get as much information as possible so i won't make the same mistake as before.- Do take your time. Best to wait till you have most things sorted out.

Thank you for your time
Best

Hello house, I thought to let you all know that to the glory of God, I now have my passport back after several weeks of waiting.
Biometrics date was 12th of May at VI Lagos, and collection email came in on Monday 8th August.

I pray that the grace and mercy of God will attend to those who still waiting for theirs. Amen.

Thank you all for your help in one way or the other.

Would have had my thought along the same line but it's not encouraging to those of us in the same shoe, gladly, hearing people who had waited that long like May 14th saying they've finally collected their passport raises hope that in the next couple of days all those who had been waiting for so long would be finally attended to.

There's hope on the horizon

Please if you earn about 1.3m salary a year but have a personal saving of over 5m from other hustles. Will that raise eyebrows in your Visitor visa application?

Sure yours wills drop this week as well, I am optimistic. My decision mail and collection mail dropped the same day after waiting for almost 3 months (May 24th).
Please my mum chose the option that the passport to be delivered to her as she can’t stand the VI stress again. Who knows if the courier can be tracked or how soon they will deliver.
Do they give tracking ID when such option is chosen pls.
