God doesn't provide to humans directly He use a fellow human to provide for another human... But in the case of the "men of God" its just business...

I hardly go to church, not because am not a Christian, just that majority of the churches we have now are no longer the house of God.
Take winners chapel for an example, immoral dressing all in the name of God doesn’t care about your dressing but your soul( what a stupid idea)
Ladies dressing half naked in church(wft)
They don’t preach sometin meaning, all they preach about is money money money.
I just pay my tithes and do my offerings and am out, any other money agenda am not a partaker of that.
I rather give my money to the needy than to a Nigerian fake ass pastor.
A pastor that wears designers and flies private jet( give am a break, wtf)
I don’t pity them, I pity the gullible members.

I understand your context and it's very appalling what is happening in the church as of today, church people don run me street, fvck me up with good sums of money in the name of investment, abi na even relationship self.

But my brother in all these, it hasn't deter me from seeing the good God is doing in the church, yes some men may have carried on on a tangent that is not befitting of Godliness, but our goal remains to seek Jesus and his principles apply them in our lives and become people with evidence of christian living.

As far as the human factor is present you're going to see all this limitations play out across the body bkos most people have not paid the price for genuine empowerment and sufficient insight to godliness and a Christian life that really works, our goal is to seek what Jesus is doing based on the Bible in every church with a heart that seeks to understand scriptures.

When God calls a man to be his servant there are four things he/she must settle:

1. The area of calling and what need it was design to address be it prophetic, apostolic etc

2. The person must settle how God has design the finances of the ministry to operate, who are the people that would be raised through such ministries be become people of influence and wealth that will fund that calling? And how can he/she access supernatural supply if such men have not been raised?

3. Where is such ministry designed to operate? Is it a national, localized or international ministry but more importantly where should it start.

4. What are the secrets (principles) God has given him against attacks of the enemy and I'll people that don't wish him well, i.e what personal dealings has he secured from God that guarantees his/her victory.

Many so call men/women of God run with just number 1 alone, some 1 and 3, but never have they sat down to settle the issue of how the finances of ministry was design to run, hence you find such veering offs.

Though I'm not interested in the 20k, I think most pastors of nowadays just use religion for their own selfish gain.

When you check back during the days of Israelites when the Lord was sharing the inheritance between them!!
None was given to the children of Levite's as they were made a priesthood unto God meaning they did not partake in the sharing of the inheritance, which was why God specifically told the other ones to bring every 10% of there products (farming) to the house of Levite's as there Tithes and gave a principle that if they shall have increase and prosperity in there Labour they should not forsake that principle given to them!!! Answered?

Money issue

Even the tithe and offering/ others(welfare, seed, first fruit) has never been made compulsory for anyone.

In my own local church for instance, every Sunday welfare team share raw food stuff -rice, garri, tubers of yam, oil etc.

Because, God dose not give cash to lazy people like some of these pastors, but bless the hands of the humble man who goes to hustle, that’s why the pastors ask for money, they just sit and wait till Sundays to beg/ deceive people.

no matter the amount pastor gives ,it can never satisfy you and then have u considered what if the pastor has? should he give u the money meant for the development of the church if he does,do u think he does not have superior?...why he refers u to God is that he can bless ur hardwork with good fruits,favor from men, many other things which the pastor can never give

The pastor functions and works in the house of God. Since our provision (offering, tithe, grants, honorarium) in the house of God is to be used for the house of God which includes the bill of the pastors and permanent workers of the church), the pastor will earn and benefit from members contribution to church.

However, the God will meet our needs in his glory through christ Jesus, God is our great provider - jehovah jireh!. He is the one that can meet church members needs since they are not paid employees of the church.
