I am very pleased with many successful travel and visa process stories here. I will also contribute mine too as I embark on this journey. I lived in Europe from 2005 till 2009( I was deported anyway). I have been in Nigeria since 2010. I lost my previous passport in 2011 through a visa agent (he died and no info to recover the passport). I WANT TO FOLLOW THE DIY route. I just got a new passport I want to Travel to Either Canada, Australia, UK or USA by December this year. I have a hotel (opened in January) which I plan to register at CAC and also open a corperate bank account with it. I have cash inflow of 300 to 400k monthly. I can raise a bank cash balance of 5 - 6million. What are my chances of getting a tourist visa to any of the countries above and the requirements. I am 42years, married with three children. I am an engr(B. Eng) with 2.1. I have personal properties on my name e.g lands, house(the hotel)
Start small grow big.
First register your hotel with CAC @softlifec (Softlife Consult) can help you with that.
You need the corporate account ASAP since you are self-employed.
Let all transactions go in there... Also, be paying yourself as the CEO from the corporate account .

Congratulations. Can I please get a sample of a cover letter to explain inflows and every other thing.
geolan:

Documents submitted,
Letter of introduction
Self introductory letter
Additional information letter (where I detailed everything which includes my work, ties, detailed financial inflow and outflow analysis of significant funds)

The other reason for refusal was that I had unexplainable lump sum in my account, I also made sure my account was clean and any money in there could be explained.

I hope this will be useful to someone else out there.

Thanks to everyone on this group for the good work and I will still be around as I intend to do two years after this.

So feel free to ask questions and I will answer to the best of my ability.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Preshyi: 8:59pm On Aug 14, 2022
Would appreciate if you can point me to where I can see a well written cover letter template. Thanks
DrStrangelove:
Just state the inflow in Ur cover letter and reference it as one of the rental payments u receive from Ur property. If u have a receipt u issue to the tenant, better. Just make sure the name on the receipt matches the name on the inflow line (description, if any) on the statement and it should be issued around the same date as the inflow shown on the statement.

Goodluck

Please I need clarification on the bolded. For instance, If you have a property where you collect rent and have savings from it but the rent inflow reflects at the same period cos rent is paid annually in Nigeria. This is also close to the application time. Eg Rent paid in July and application is in August. What's the best way to explain and prove it in your application?

Anyone can respond please.

To make your claim more genuine you should include rent receipt of previous years if you have

I dont think it will. my most recent application was a mess. Worst i've ever put in. Didn't declared my daughter as a dependant, my intended arrival date in the UK was June 2022 (i applied in July), only about 200k in account, number of UK visits in the last 10yrs i put 20 instead of 18....

You'll be fine smiley

Hello everyone. I need your help on an issue.

I recently got married after I got my UK Student Visa... Since I didn't add my husband as a dependent while applying for VISA, would it still be possible for him to come along with me as a dependent.

Hi everyone, my sister's 2 year old daughter just got denied a visit visa, with the reason that the birth certificate not been official, mean while she submitted both the hospitals birth certificate and the national population commission birth certificate. So which one is not official birth certificate again. Was it that the Eco didn't check out the NPC's birth certificate. Please i need your advice on this. Can this be contested?

Hello everyone, this ended well, we sent an email letting them know they may have made a mistake because both documents were submitted. My sister got a response that they were going to escalate and investigate it after about 3 weeks they got back that she should resubmit the passport that they had made a mistake and will make a fresh decision. After weeks of waiting, she just collected back the passport with the visa stamped. Thanks to everyone for your contributions.
