I have an honest question, I once read on Facebook, someone's life experience about frying of plantain chips business

She said when she ventured into the business, she wasn't making so much profit, it's either it was getting so burnt or it wasn't coming out fine. So she had to ask one of the women into it too, who told her that they use to add a little plastic to the hot oil so as to get that crispyness and make it stand straight

So I want to ask experienced persons in here, how do you achieve that crispy nature of plantain chips that are being sold on the highways? But I know I've tried at home, and it didn't come out that way too.

Please I need answers, ignore any typos

Brb. Let me ask my younger sister. She makes and supplies to superstores.

She said no plastic is added. That after cutting with the slicer, you pack into hot oil and stir fry gently to prevent sticking. After a while you feel its dry and crunchy then you bring out gently and allow to cool before packaging it.

It has to be the unripe one too.

So I tried the new indomie crayfish noodles and it wasn’t bad . I added eja kika to give it that special flavor I want ( that’s the only way I enjoy noodles nowadays )

Nice one and I was able to look at the beautiful picture of the food.

The other pictures of your food looks over edited and it hurts my eyes that I scroll pass without checking them out.

Can you please keep your food pictures like this noodles, it is more natural and help peeps appreciate the beauty of the food.

Why if I may ask? It's one of best kitchen gadgets I have ever bought especially with price of oil now. I use 5ltrs for almost 2 months plus it supports healthy eating.

Honestly I can’t explain it. I understand the saving oil part, but I am not a fry-fry person. Not plantains, yam or potato. I rarely fry anything but meat and fish.

You may not be wrong. I want to believe that it’s because the chicken they have here are noticeably more oily and too soft than what we have at home.
I find the air fryer helps release those excess oils and makes the skin very crispy while leaving it soft inside.

When I buy stew chicken from the African store. The one that resembles the good chicken we have at home, it comes out too dry in the air fryer.
