Unfortunately, there is none. You may have to pressure your bank to process the tuition payment you did through the CBN portal.

|

I am in the process of applying for a study visa, there is 8.5m for proof of funds, will it be enough? Can i be eligible for work as i study after the first year of studies? Is there a bank that doesnt require 2 currect account holders for domicilary account opening? What is the total cost processing everything for yours? Are properties also proof of funds? What means of payment or platform are you using for these study processes? Can a non spouse work while i study(cousin etc) in canada? I have offer please help out |

Dear Valued Student, We hope this finds you well. We would like to share with you an important update from IRCC regarding student study permits, distance learning, and PGWP requirements. Throughout the pandemic, measures have been in place to allow international students to pursue their studies online from abroad while remaining eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP). As the new school year approaches, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is creating a transition period for these measures. If you have submitted your study permit application before August 31, 2022 and are waiting for it to be processed, you will be able to study online. No more than 50% of the credits earned for your program can be completed outside Canada to remain eligible for a PGWP. Once your study permit is approved, we encourage you to come to Canada. In response to this update, the University of Regina has opened additional online first year courses for international students. If you have not received your approved study permit yet, you are welcome to register for online courses and submit a signed Consent Form with a copy of the Submission Confirmation for Study Permit Application as proof that your application has been submitted to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). If you would like to choose this option, please contact UR International at: International.StudentServices@uregina.ca to receive a Consent Form to sign. Students should contact academic.advising@uregina.cafor assistance in registering for classes. Students studying online or in person must abide by the following deadlines: Deadline to Submit Immigration Documents or Consent Form: September 14th Deadline to Pay Full First Term Tuition: September 28th Last Day to Drop Classes for 100% Refund: September 14th To learn more about the IRCC update and the University of Regina’s response, we will be holding two town halls. We welcome students to attend: UR International Town Halls: IRCC Update Saturday August 27th 7:00 AM Saskatchewan Time CST Register Here: https:///URIAUG27 Monday August 29th 7:00 AM Saskatchewan Time CST Register Here: https:///URIAUG29 The University of Regina International office looks forward to welcoming you for your first term! If you have further questions please contact international.recruitment@uregina.ca. Thank you! Kind Regards, UR International Recruitment & Marketing 1 Like |

Hi there, Please before you apply, pause and do a lot of research to familiarize yourself with the application process so you can put in a great application with few/no errors. There are a lot of resources on this page. If you go back to the beginning of the thread you will find a lot of info. Minimum required for proof of fund is 1 year tuition fee + $10,000 cad for a 1 year upkeep. This requirement could be higher depending on other factors. Students can work for 20hours per week while studying except if stated otherwise on their study permit Properties are not proof of funds but are important in your application because they serve as home ties. I do not understand your other questions, therefore I did not respond to them. All the best! cybertyrant: |

Hi there, It shouldn’t be a problem. There are other ways to show he’s your dad. Examples are: - stating it in your SOP - attaching your birth certificate (parents name usually show up on most) - Your dad stating you’re his son in his sponsorship letter etc NaturalKinzzy: 2 Likes |

Hi there, If you look at the bottom, it says total per academic year. So that price is for 1 year only. Cheers Ikmontana1: |

cybertyrant: You will be Eligible for PGwp after completion of at least an 8months program in a DLI college/uni and not while running the program - this avails you 1yr pgwp. You can work while studying for 20hrs a week - this is not the same as pgwp. To open a Dom account 2 references (could be current account holders or Dom account holders) are required - their accounts must be active not dormant. This is because Dom accounts are considered current accounts, however, I know that Access Bank can open a savings variant for you without references (it would have limits) so you can try them. For your fees payment you can wire transfers from your dom account without crazy conversion rates at your local branch or from your Naira account through form A (form A takes at least 30days these days). Your spouse can accompany you with a sowp visa and work full time while.you study. Your cousin is not considered as your spouse. Good luck |

Chocs:an observation. please why is the minimum required proof of funds just for 1 year expenses (i.e a year tuition fees + 10,000cad) ?? Is it because they believe that while the student is working for 20hours a week during the first year, he/she will be able to earn money for the second year expenses ?? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by johnstan(m): 10:47am On Aug 27, 2022 |
cybertyrant: POF is your tuition fee for at least 1 yr plus your living expenses (CAD 10,000 - roughly N3.2m) for same yr. Check your tuition fee for a yr, add your living expenses for same year and there you will have the minimum required POF. It's advisable to show POF for at least 2yrs so the visa officer don't feel like you wouldn't have enough funds to support yourself. Good luck. |

I think you should include an explanation if it was bulk of the funds that was withdrawn. TomisinFemi: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by johnstan(m): 10:59am On Aug 27, 2022 |
Ikmontana1: Technically yes, i had to calc myself to really understand. From Googling I figured that on most occasions international students get paid below the minimum wage while on student visa and this can leave you with roughly CAD800 monthly. Remember your rent/utility bills are due monthly, you will eat and still cloth yourself, this makes it difficult to pay your tuition fees which can be a staggering 8 - 9k CAD per semester if you do the maths. I also read that people do other cash jobs and get paid in cash in addition to their documented 20hrs per week rule (this can affect your PGwp after studies) if caught. In all people still work and pay their fees tho it can be Hella stressful and can affect concentration in school if you always have the need to go work instead of study. It will all be part of your success story in the end. Good luck. 2 Likes |
