Dear senseless Ipobian, I’m not pissed because I understand your condition. If you had a working brain, you would have seen and understood what the headline meant. It reads “Peter Obi FINALLY reacts to Deborah Samuel’s gruesome murder” (emphasis on Finally) What that means is that he only reacted after backlashes. I can remember that some nairalanders open threads expressing their disappointment and disgust over why these politicians (Tinubu and Peter) were silent and the only one who spoke against it eventually made a U-turn and deleted his post.
Away from that, you just answered one of my questions albeit wrongly, now could you answer the second one, please? Where was Peter Obi during the 2020 endsars movement and what has he done differently to deserve being seen as a youth advocate two years later?

I was thinking the same - Peter Obi relinquishing his race and ambition to Atiku. I first noticed this during the NBA conference. Peter Obi referred to Atiku as his leader. He didn't say I want to acknowledge the former Vice President whom I hold dearly and have a huge deal of respect for.

Also, a Peter Obi in the race and the huge popularity he has with the youth mostly in the south and Abuja creates a difficult problem for Atiku with southern votes. BAT will be able to muscle more than 25% in some of the Southern States if not be the majority winner in the South West region, but this may not be the case for Atiku. He still needs to wrestle with BAT in the Northern part of the country. In this part, Peter Obi will be coming a distance 3rd or 4th.

I have also monitored Peter Obi's current movements. Though the campaign has not started but I noticed he is not pushing hard enough in the North. Though Obidients will suggest otherwise. He is currently abroad speaking to Nigerians in Diaspora. These Nigerians, including myself, cannot vote. This is clearly a waste of time and resources. Pay close attention to the heavyweights, they are currently discussing with power brokers, leaders of regions, traditional rulers, former presidents, including past military rulers. These are important members and leaders on the Nigeria polity that have direct or indirect influence on how people vote. Also, with the in-house friction between Atiku and Wike, it only weakens the PDP chances to claim power in 2023.

In conclusion, I think Peter Obi will step down for Atiku if such talks is not currently ongoing. He has clearly demonstrated his political value by rallying the youth and this cannot be discounted. I see him encouraging Obidients to support Atiku during the elections. I am anticipating this happening during the campaign exercise. If this is not the case and he continues to be actively involved in the election, then there will be only one winner - BAT.
