You can only make that much if you drive by yourself. Rentals is 25-30k per month.
you mean if I give my car out to be used fir Uber, all I will get in a month is 25 to 30k? What happens to the 60k weekly?

So the est way to make that amount is if you are the person driving the car yourself. If not just forget it

Hmmmmm, thank you for the heads up. I know better now.

ABEG HOUSE, MAKE UNA EPP ME ANSWER DIS QUESTION ABEG

Why is it that riders in Nigeria get angry anytime I ask them to please, "Confirm the Riders Name?"

Some passengers will just start shouting, like, "mtcheew, will I enter the wrong car?...", "I've already checked your plate number na...", "Na wa ooo...", "which one is this again..." ...

They would end up saying 1000 words in their rants, instead of just saying the 1 word that matters, THEIR NAME, sigh, sigh, sigh sad undecided undecided sad

There are the cool ones though that will just answer straight up and in turn ask for my name/drivers name and then we start the trip and roll.

Abeg, why are they so angry to tell the driver their name
Na Nigerian mentality, boss.
However, I don't ask them to confirm names, I mention the name of the passenger by saying, (for example) "you're Sandra?"
Sometimes, I mention a wrong name to them and they would correct it and I would acknowledge it immediately.
Sometimes, they mention my name straight and I acknowledge it, then we move.
I don't ask them to confirm the name, cos I know how majority of riders be (in this Lagos).
98.9% of them are always females. grin
And funny enough, despite their rudeness, I prefer the female riders. grin
May God open my eyes. grin

Much respect, boss.

Lolzz.
Just call the name on the app. If it's their name, they will answer.

Me: Chioma rite?
Rider: Yes/no.

Me: You're ayomide rite?
Rider: Yes/she's my sister.

This way, the will answer you even if they're in a very bad mood.

If S/he doesn't answer you, but you're sure they heard you, then you're with the right rider.

Another important thing to note, especially for InDriver riders is, always confirm rider's destination before you move.
Questions like.... This your address is Surulere right?
Or this is Ikeja, Ogba, Yaba, Ajah, Sangotedo, VI, Lekki? Is enough.

It's also necessary to confirm pickup before going.
Cos Lagos has recurring Street and area names.

There's Ilaje on the island and mainland.
There's Pako in Yaba and surulere.
There's Jakande on the island and mainland.
And so on.
You're right, boss.
Joel Ogunaike street at Ikeja GRA and another Joel Ogunaike at Magodo, shangisha. lipsrsealed
More like that.

Good morning comrades.

I need expert opinion on a matter before me.

I have two offers of rentals at hand, a corolla (pure water) and a civic 07...

I need proper advice on which one to pick based on:

Profit
Maintenance
Ruggedness
Any other useful info

The owner of corolla said I will bring the car for him every weekend and I take it on Monday to work with. I told him weekend is the main period the hustle pays that it will be hard to meet up. He said, I will meet up.

How much will you now remit for the Corolla? The owner wants to eat his cake and have it. Have someone slave around during the week while he cashes out during weekends.

Seems to me like the Civic is your only choice

IMO, Provided both cars are in good shape, taking the car from you on weekends is a no no so just go with the civic and have your peace of mind, the civic is very rugged just as Corolla but the ground clearance is a bit lower than Corolla. Other than that, civic is a very good car.

I feel for you. Guess your engine has knocked. But should alternator belt make an engine to knock? Just wondering.

IMO, that’s a wrong diagnosis, the only thing connected to the belt that can affect your engine in a bad way is the water pump and that will leads to overheating then a burnt gasket, I advised you changed the mechanic and also check if your oil is mixed with water already, if it’s then change your gasket and the engine should come back to life

Loose pressure?
Have the engine been worked on before?
Or did he try fixing it before confirming it has lost pressure?
Highest hat could likely happen is the engine gasket getting burnt if you drove it with belt and that means fans won't work, so it will lead to overheat

Yes I have told him I can't give him the car at weekend cos that is the peak period. I have asked him to ask other ppl. So he is saying he will get back to me. Maybe he wanted to see whether I will be desperate but because if have a plan B I am kind of calm.

I told him it won't work. So he is likely to reconsider.
But I will consider the Civic first before him. So if he doesn't get back on time that is it for me.

The owner of the civic only asked to see the car once in a week just to inspect it. That is okay by me. I have given the same condition to the corolla owner if he will accept it too.

No. Just routine inspection to be sure the car is in good shape. That was what he told me but he is a very busy man. He basically just hammered on his remittance. That he doesn't joke with it o. So the civic doesn't come with any other condition.

The corolla man is ready to reconsider his position on the weekend thing but he said he may need to use the car once in a whole for one or two days.

The case is very odd. Alternator belt should kill battery and car goes off. @Thurmieee pls try another mech.
