If the said students are undergraduate....it may not matter much as they will be distributed for new supervisors just to allow my people go..

If they are postgraduate students...This will be a huge blow to their study, because, even, if they assign them new supervisors or the already existing co-supervisor takes over....the new supervisors can redesign the research or outrightly ask them to start entirely new research, especially if what they are doing is not the new supervisor areas of interest.

We all have to find a way to save our morality. To return to love for one another. It starts with the family. Teaching our children love instead of racism, hate and suspicion of each other. People will either vote or not vote, and the choice will affect everyone. So you criticise the government, and then the people who will take part in changing the government, you're criticising them too. So I really mean no offense and I sincerely hope you won't take this this wrong way: what should we do? If you have the power and all, what would you do? Differently? If you are not in favour of any candidate, then that means you wouldn't vote? Then if you wouldn't vote (and will not campaign, etc) that is one power I know you have as a citizen that you're giving up. And again, I get if you want to choose to give that up, but my point is, why will you willingly give that power up and still expect others to do something right?

Okay, what would you do differently? What would you do better? Are you participating in politics? If there are other ways of turning a country around for good, are you, as a non-partisan, exploring it? If you think that with the current political atmosphere in the country, Nigerians are still sleeping, what are the conditions to be met then that will make you see that people are awake? Shey as far as you are concerned, we are still sleeping as much as we were sleeping 5-10 to 16 years ago? So outside of our political culture as it is, what other alternatives do you think are there?

At the end of the day, the solution is simple...allow universites to raise fees so that they can find money to fund themselves...because unless government taxes everyone, including your local hawker, groundnut seller, herdsman, and farmer...they cannot find enough money for ASUU and universites.

We have been on this matter since 2009. If in 2013, which GEJ supporters like to tell us, times were better, and our economy was top ten...and GEJ told ASUU then that he could not give them their money, and offered partial payment, what do you expect now?

Yes, I am arguing for putting more burdens on the poor. The problem is, universites are so underfunded that if we are not careful...in ten years, only the graduates of foreign universites, and private universites would be eligible for jobs. The public unis would not be...and it would be the poor that suffer am.

Yes, I went to school with LOW fees. And because of that, I had to buy my own mattress, my own books...because university did not have money to buy new books for the library, lived in very awful accomodation in the hostels because university could not maintain hostel on accomodation fees so low it was a joke., and had bad facilities.

Yes, your leaders went to school for free (not necessarily true)...but back then, the number of universitiy students was manageable. (At one point we had six of them with populations less than 4000 students). The number is much higher, and more difficult.

Either we raise fees, or we raise taxes, or we leave the universities as they are, and you stop complaining about how bad they are. The bad universities we have is what we can afford.

(And even if we use the loot...can you tell me what happens when the loot money recovered runs out? ).
