When the foreign office sends a mail to the spouse in Germany that the application for family reunion is considered already, how many weeks will it take the consulate in Lagos to communicate the decision to the applicant in Nigeria?

My dear that's the german system oh.
We had our own interview in November, ausländerbehörde sent for me in February, the lawyer came in March, I mailed last month to ask how far they said they are still not done with verification.

So unfortunately the waiting game just entered phrase two. Just use the time to be learning something that would be useful to you if not the wait can kill someone

Convert the required fees to naira using black market rates. The embassy will likely use official rates. The idea is to have more than enough naira on you. That way, whatever amount the embassy requests of you, you can pay immediately. Remember that exchange rates keep changing.

Just to update on this, pre-approval is still not out, the relocation manager from my office said when they followed up, the labor office said there is delay because of Ukraine situation. Anyways I went ahead and applied for visa without it as I was running out of time ( I applied from another EU country which my visa there expires in few weeks to avoid Nigerias long wait for appointment) and got a response the next working day.

Yes, I already have my visa. They got back to me 1working day after my Visa application appointment.

has ur lawyer visited you, have they contacted your husband in Germany, if u have gone through all this process, pls kindly ask your husband to call the embassy and text them too , and u need to call embassy too to know the situation of things.

Lawyer visited since November last year and my husband has been contacted. We've been calling to no avail

nawa oooo this one is serious ooo, it's 9 months since the lawyer came for ur verification, you need to be prayerful, ehhh God ooo, can you pls sent them a mail or call them that it's been 9months the lawyer came for verification but still nothing from them. I have a friend who is now in Germany ��since July, her interview was October 2021and they demand for her passport on 1week of May 2022, and another of my friend is going next week by God grace, see you need to call as many times as u can.Even ask your husband to call them too, but make I ask you this question ooo, is ur husband a German man or a black man, because sometimes they don't like giving Nigeria ladies or guys visa once their spouse is a German, because they believe your marriage to her or him is because of the visa.
