Hi everyone, kudos for all you do here.

I have a degree in Accounting from Nigeria, and currently I'm studying a Masters program in Financial investigation in the UK. I plan studying a program in Fraud Investigation in Canada in 2023.

Here is my concern, the Fraud Investigation program offered by the college is Post Graduate Certificate which is just 8 months. And I would like to use the program as a study route for the Canadian PR. Considering the period of the program study, will I be granted PR at all, or how many years, if yes. Does it make sense to go in for the program? And what is my chance of visa with the Canadian Immigration. Also, I am married and would want to go with my wife, not immediately though.

Please I would appreciate your sincere opinion, guidance, and advice.

Thank you

Dear Sir/Madam

My name is. , a prospective student of xxxxx College and study permit applicant from Nigeria with the following details:
Date of birth:
Unique Client Identifier (UCI):
-Application number:

I submitted my study permit application via the new ircc application portal on 4th of April, 2022 and my upfront medical was updated to passed on 22nd of May, 2022. However, no other updates has been posted on my portal or mail since then till now, which is a very long time.

I am well aware that IRCC is inundated with large volume of applications that may exceed their capacity to process all within the quoted processing time. However, I am pleading for a speedy resolution of my application. I have found it very difficult focusing on my daily activities here since the beginning of the year as all my plans for the year are tied to my study plan.

I humbly plead that you do your best to help me reach out to IRCC to conclude the processing of my application as soon as possible to enable me take more definite steps with regards to my study plans for the year and regain my mental health and psychological balance.

Thank you so much for your efforts so far in giving me an update on my application, as I look forward to your prompt and positive feedback on my application.

Best regards,

I got the format here on NL and edited it

I always like landing gist, congratulations to you. I love your landing gist.
Omorocky:
Landing Gist,From Abuja to Halifax Nova Scotia. I left For Abuja Airport on the 22/08/2022 I got to the Airport, I was asked for my Vaccination card, acceptance letter, enrollment letter and passport. I went to collect my boarding pass. My luggages were checked, over weigh,I paid 100 Dollars for excess Luggage my Airline was Air France.
It came to 7:55 We boarded to Paris France. We stopped over at N,Djamena Chad for 1 hour we didn't come down from the aircraft. We left around 11 pm to Paris, we got to Paris 6: am Paris time. We had lay over for 5 hours.
We boarded to Montreal by 12:30pm dot because our flight was delayed for 1hr:30m. We arrived Montreal 1:30 pm local time.
I had already submitted my ArriveCan information and CBSA declaration items through my ArriveCan app, so there was no stress just confirm that my information was true and submitted in less than a minute on the kiosk machine.
I proceeded to the next officer was asked for my ArriveCan, if I carry anything like raw meat as my food stuff, I said no. The young fine girl asked me to proceed to the queue to get my Study permit
the queue was not much, when it got to my turn for study permit, a pretty fine young girl again was the officer, She greeted me with respect and asked for my passport and letter of introduction only printed my study permit and gave me, no questions or queries.
I proceeded to claim my baggages and waited for my connecting flight to Halifax Nova Scotia.

The only issue I had was that immigration gave me 1 month study visa for a 4 year study program, I don't know if the immigration officer smoke weed that day for doing that. when I got to Canada 3 weeks were gone from the 1 month remaining only 1 week, so the CBSA told me they can't give me study permit beyond the validity of the visa on my passport, that I should call the immigration immediately to explain the situation to them to extend my study permit. So I was given 1 week study permit.
I had to contact the immigration immediately they asked me to apply for extension of the study permit online before that one week given to me expires, I did waiting for approval soon. However I explained to the school, and was asked to show proof of extension application,I did. They told me I can start classes. Canada is very beautiful and worth every stress and money spent. I pray that everyone waiting for their PPR shall testify soon in Jesus name amen. Don't give up. Nothing good comes easily.

I'm sure you must have put together your best, put the fear away and apply, the earliest the better considering the long wait time for approval.
What's the worst that would happen - you get approved and wonder why you were so scared.

Good luck.

Here I am planning on recruiting someone to do all these,,,,for me, but with theze lists here now, I can do it myself in Jesus name

LANDING GIST
My ticket was booked for 29th August
Got to the airport with my family at about 7:09am. The security at the entrance allowed only three people to enter with us. My husband sha went back outside later to bring my mum and mum-in- law in.
Our bags were scanned at the entrance and we were directed to some people by the side of the scanner. Those ones were like ehnn we have liquid in our bags and plenty story started..( money things). We proceeded to Agricultural bla bla stand( those ones collected 5k) I don't know who would travel without food in their bags.
From there we joined the queue and we're waiting for Ethiopian airlines to open their stand for checking. That took almost 45 mins. All our bags were below 23kg ( my husband closely monitored the packing). He didn't want to pay extra for excess luggage so we weighed less than 23kg from home believing the scale at the airport would not give correct weight( naija things)..well we were surprised cos our luggages no reach 23kg..e pain me sha cos I left some personal items back home. After clearing our bags and showing necessary docs, we took pics with our parents and left for departure ( it was an emotional moment). After that na immigration checking our traveling docs and asking questions. You go come back? Who dey go for study? Who carry who dey go?
We sha boarded around 12:30 pm and took off around 1:30pm. Flight to Addis Ababa was smooth, my son slept most of the time and food was okay.
We got to Addis Ababa in the night( not sure about the time) and joined another Ethiopian airline flight going to Toronto.
We had a 1hr refueling layover in Dublin but didn't disembark. Then we took off for Toronto. The journey from Addis to Toronto seem like forever. It was longgg and tiring. When we got to Toronto, students with family were directed to a separate room where we did self declaration and also registered the identify of those accompanying us. We then proceeded to the desk of the immigration officer. Mine was a woman and she asked for our passport, introduction letter and a receipt of tuition payment. I didn't make any payment because my school didn't require a deposit and I told her just that. She literally looked me in the face and said' I find it difficult granting you access if you can't show any commitments to your school'. I quickly explained the challenges of paying with Form A to her o and told her I had cash with me to do the payment. She asked me how much I had and how much my tuition for a year is. I gave answers to both questions and she said 'fair enough' then she stood up and printed our permits. From there we went to get our bags because Ethiopian airlines dropped them all at Toronto airport. We had to start searching for our bags and trolley to carry them. We checked them( bags)in again for our flight to St John's. At this point, I was just tired and couldn't wait for the trip to be over. We landed in St John's airport around 4pm on 30th August. The stress and journey was all worth it. I also noticed that everything here is a process and in stages. If you have a guide here, be thankful to God.
For those who would be traveling with toddler(s)..may God give you plenty doses of patience. My son showed me pepper. At some point he wanted to carry equal bags as myself and my husband , other times he would just refuse to move his tiny legs, and we had like 5 bags with us( 3 carry ons and two extra) we would beg him in English and threaten him in Yoruba. The boy no send us o. This same human would be calm in the plane o and keep other people engaged and entertained.
I Pray the Land of Canada favour us all. To all PPR hopefuls, the Lord will answer all your heartfelt prayers and you shall testify.

Thank you so much

HouseRavenclaw:

Hello,

This is fairly normal and you have nothing to be worried about. As long as your system doesn’t house active tuberculosis, you will pass the sputum test. Once that happens, you will have another X-ray examination done so IOM can compare it to your initial one and see if there are any major changes.

For some applicants, the final X-ray is all it takes to have your medicals passed. For others like me, further testing is required so you will be mandated to visit a pulmonary specialist. The person will guide you through breathing exercises, then file a report based on their findings and the X-rays you’ve had done at IOM.

It is important to note that I actually did have tuberculosis when I was younger, so that could explain why a pulmonary specialist was necessary. If you haven’t had TB, your medical examination will likely be passed after the final X-ray post-sputum results.

Conclusively, please do not listen to the panel physician asking you to hold off on lodging your application. It is always more advisable to apply early so while your sputum tests are being processed, your application could be getting worked on. My medicals took 10 freaking months to be passed. You could be waiting as long as 4-5 months yourself so I would advise going ahead with your application process like medicals aren’t even an obstacle.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Enddystar(m): 5:22pm On Sep 04, 2022
Thank you very much

TradeSunMoore:

Well you can go ahead and submit your application. But the TB Test process will last for 3 months. My daughter had similar experience in 2020 when she applied. She was made to do a sputum test for suspected TB which came out negative after 8 weeks. Then another waiting period of 30 days for a final x-ray. She did the x ray and her medical was updated to pass same day. Application was then processed and approved. So definitely the test will delay the application for at least 3 months. Better to wait a while before submitting.

I replied cos I have made payment on wes recently and i have knowledge that naira cards no longer work for int'l payments. I used barter card for my payment before it was blocked. I don't understand what you mean by withholding info after responding to your questions repeatedly.

If you cannot google and get a virtual USD card that works like I did with barter card before it was blocked, be careful with sending your funds to someone and getting scammed here.

Google luck.

The enrolment letter I suggested was for people travelling to Canada after their program has started; CBSA will likely ask for it in addition to the admission letter.
Regarding your application in process with IRCC, you can get an updated admission letter or commence your program online if your school offers an online program.
My oga @bullstriker, kindly assist with different schools and their tuition for Post graduate Diploma. The person has 2.2 in Industrial and Labour Relations. Graduate of 2009 .

Like I said earlier you don’t know me, so you shouldn’t be saying this besides I’m not here to put frustration on anyone because I myself am still waiting for my PPR and by God’s Grace I shall receive mine this week, so please moving on stop quoting my message because I know very well you’re not among us waiting to receive PPR and you definitely do not know how it feels right now. You’re trying to come out unnecessarily rude and that’s not why I’m on this platform

Have a good week ahead! Cheers

adeyinkaadetunj:

I'm not underestimating the power of God, sending such information means, you're putting more frustration on those people that have been waiting to receive their PPR for long, Please don't put more tension on those people waiting for long with your non genuine information, because they will receive their PPR soon by the Grace of God.
