Hi everyone, kudos for all you do here. I have a degree in Accounting from Nigeria, and currently I'm studying a Masters program in Financial investigation in the UK. I plan studying a program in Fraud Investigation in Canada in 2023. Here is my concern, the Fraud Investigation program offered by the college is Post Graduate Certificate which is just 8 months. And I would like to use the program as a study route for the Canadian PR. Considering the period of the program study, will I be granted PR at all, or how many years, if yes. Does it make sense to go in for the program? And what is my chance of visa with the Canadian Immigration. Also, I am married and would want to go with my wife, not immediately though. Please I would appreciate your sincere opinion, guidance, and advice. Thank you |

lolathegenie:Dear Sir/Madam My name is. , a prospective student of xxxxx College and study permit applicant from Nigeria with the following details: Date of birth: Unique Client Identifier (UCI): -Application number: I submitted my study permit application via the new ircc application portal on 4th of April, 2022 and my upfront medical was updated to passed on 22nd of May, 2022. However, no other updates has been posted on my portal or mail since then till now, which is a very long time. I am well aware that IRCC is inundated with large volume of applications that may exceed their capacity to process all within the quoted processing time. However, I am pleading for a speedy resolution of my application. I have found it very difficult focusing on my daily activities here since the beginning of the year as all my plans for the year are tied to my study plan. I humbly plead that you do your best to help me reach out to IRCC to conclude the processing of my application as soon as possible to enable me take more definite steps with regards to my study plans for the year and regain my mental health and psychological balance. Thank you so much for your efforts so far in giving me an update on my application, as I look forward to your prompt and positive feedback on my application. Best regards, I got the format here on NL and edited it |

LANDING GIST My ticket was booked for 29th August Got to the airport with my family at about 7:09am. The security at the entrance allowed only three people to enter with us. My husband sha went back outside later to bring my mum and mum-in- law in. Our bags were scanned at the entrance and we were directed to some people by the side of the scanner. Those ones were like ehnn we have liquid in our bags and plenty story started..( money things). We proceeded to Agricultural bla bla stand( those ones collected 5k) I don't know who would travel without food in their bags. From there we joined the queue and we're waiting for Ethiopian airlines to open their stand for checking. That took almost 45 mins. All our bags were below 23kg ( my husband closely monitored the packing). He didn't want to pay extra for excess luggage so we weighed less than 23kg from home believing the scale at the airport would not give correct weight( naija things)..well we were surprised cos our luggages no reach 23kg..e pain me sha cos I left some personal items back home. After clearing our bags and showing necessary docs, we took pics with our parents and left for departure ( it was an emotional moment). After that na immigration checking our traveling docs and asking questions. You go come back? Who dey go for study? Who carry who dey go? We sha boarded around 12:30 pm and took off around 1:30pm. Flight to Addis Ababa was smooth, my son slept most of the time and food was okay. We got to Addis Ababa in the night( not sure about the time) and joined another Ethiopian airline flight going to Toronto. We had a 1hr refueling layover in Dublin but didn't disembark. Then we took off for Toronto. The journey from Addis to Toronto seem like forever. It was longgg and tiring. When we got to Toronto, students with family were directed to a separate room where we did self declaration and also registered the identify of those accompanying us. We then proceeded to the desk of the immigration officer. Mine was a woman and she asked for our passport, introduction letter and a receipt of tuition payment. I didn't make any payment because my school didn't require a deposit and I told her just that. She literally looked me in the face and said' I find it difficult granting you access if you can't show any commitments to your school'. I quickly explained the challenges of paying with Form A to her o and told her I had cash with me to do the payment. She asked me how much I had and how much my tuition for a year is. I gave answers to both questions and she said 'fair enough' then she stood up and printed our permits. From there we went to get our bags because Ethiopian airlines dropped them all at Toronto airport. We had to start searching for our bags and trolley to carry them. We checked them( bags)in again for our flight to St John's. At this point, I was just tired and couldn't wait for the trip to be over. We landed in St John's airport around 4pm on 30th August. The stress and journey was all worth it. I also noticed that everything here is a process and in stages. If you have a guide here, be thankful to God. For those who would be traveling with toddler(s)..may God give you plenty doses of patience. My son showed me pepper. At some point he wanted to carry equal bags as myself and my husband , other times he would just refuse to move his tiny legs, and we had like 5 bags with us( 3 carry ons and two extra) we would beg him in English and threaten him in Yoruba. The boy no send us o. This same human would be calm in the plane o and keep other people engaged and entertained. I Pray the Land of Canada favour us all. To all PPR hopefuls, the Lord will answer all your heartfelt prayers and you shall testify. |

Teebabe2806:I'm not underestimating the power of God, sending such information means, you're putting more frustration on those people that have been waiting to receive their PPR for long, Please don't put more tension on those people waiting for long with your non genuine information, because they will receive their PPR soon by the Grace of God. |

Like I said earlier you don’t know me, so you shouldn’t be saying this besides I’m not here to put frustration on anyone because I myself am still waiting for my PPR and by God’s Grace I shall receive mine this week, so please moving on stop quoting my message because I know very well you’re not among us waiting to receive PPR and you definitely do not know how it feels right now. You’re trying to come out unnecessarily rude and that’s not why I’m on this platform Have a good week ahead! Cheers adeyinkaadetunj: |
