Last week i saw the testimony of Dunsin Oyekan after he survived a ghastly motor accident, and I wasn't surprised...

I know very well from personal experience that there were those few that God would go the extra mile to protect where need be, so that same dangerous situations that would have harmed or taken the life of most would be turned into a testimony to them, because it wouldn't be able to harm them or take their lives.

That I believe was what happened to Dunsin who has shown himself to be of a different spiritual class... because it's glaring that it was indeed God that intervened and saved His life, otherwise it would easily have been an entirely different story.

That's why i keep telling people to stop playing church but take the things of God seriously, so that in crucial moments like that when they really needed God's help, God would even to go out of His way to save them because they were also there for Him when He needed someone.

Not after they've lived their lives for the themselves and for the devil, then all of a sudden, when they needed His help, for instance, when they're about to embark on a long distance journey, then they would suddenly remember God is there, and start cabashing, casting, binding, tonging and saying all manner of things in the name of prayer.

They're bound to be on on their own if they found themselves in a dangerous situation, because it's only men that they can deceive, not God!

Hence they shouldn't wait until when their lives were endangered and they needed God's help before they took Him seriously, but beforehand, so that God would also take their own matters seriously as He did in the instance of Dunsin, because they are not just lipservers whose hearts were not with Him, but true worshippers who worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. John 4:23

It's unwise to wait until you find yourself in a dangerous situation before you remember that God exists.

Many have learnt the hard way because God cannot be mocked.

And this is not just about losing their lives to such dangers, but the eternal damnation that awaits all workers of iniquity and unbelievers.

That's the assurance that those have chosen to serve God have, because although God is more than able to protect them and preserve their lives in such dangerous moments in lives, even if He doesn't, they have a hope that lies beyond this world regardless.

I strongly believe that was a fake picture. Look at the bonnet and the rusts, which takes days to appear. And why is there no fluid from the car on the ground. Those safety balloons should be covering their faces, if it was real accident scene.

Why are they so relaxed, no state of shock on their face, no agony. That wreckage has been there for weeks before that photo. It is either photoshopped or they entered the place to take the picture.

Simple answer, it's human nature. When you need job, you'll be at your best behaviour. Go to hospital and see atheist paying pastors to pray for them

Or the olosho that have nacked their destiny away praying for a good man, or the thief that never remembered God during robbery pleading in God's name for forgiveness.

God hates eye service, and to call his name in vain. I doubt he will answer such prayers. So yeah, human nature will always like to reap where they didn't sow.

1) There should be differences between church and God.
2) What does God going extra mile means ?
3) What does playing church have to do with God ?
4) why did God allowed the accident to occure in the first place......is prevention not better than cure ?

My conclusion is Christianity lack the most minute knowledge about God, Hence the personification.

Christians preaches in contradiction......How can an omnipotent and omnipresent go an extra miles ?

These portray limitation of the supposed God's abundant Grace......and in addition freedom of choice....in this case Dunsin chose abundant speed over safety.

You know, these people think they are wise. They suddenly turn saints in case there's an accident that leads to them dieing so they wan to play wise and safe, they don't know God is even wiser.

That's how one man promised to give his life to God, and all his possessions should God deliver him from a plane that was about crashing.
The pilots have asked all passengers to commit their souls to their creator cos it was obvious they couldn't make it.

Boom, the man made the promise.

So God decided to test him.
God saved them and brought the situation to normal.

Men and brethren you know what?
As soon as the man stepped out of the plane, he said " Thank God".... (Having thought of the promise he made earlier)
He went further to say, God pls I was too fast to make that promise, I'm sorry I can't !

The man was actually a very rich man!!

Very funny story; just like a rich young ruler in the Bible who wouldn't give all his possessions to follow. May God give us all His grace to follow Him in Jesus name(Amen)

Tell this to Myles Munroe's family. That their beloved was not serving the god but was playing church that's why he and his wife died in a plane crash 2 mins to a safe landing.

To answer your question.
It’s not just sinners. It’s a human instinct. And for what it’s worth we are all sinners. Also ‘Saint’ or ‘Sinner’ are very relative concepts..
Anyway, as humans .. religious or not there’s the evolutionary instinct to resort to an higher being when things are beyond our control. When you’re in transit a lot of factors are beyond your control. Most time you don’t say/remember ‘God help me’ when you’re confident of the outcome.


As an aside its crazy we have been brainwashed by the Christianity of ‘God I’m not worth it’ or ‘God kill the devil because of this undesirable situation’ which is a good money maker for pastors, instead of just seeing the Providence of God in human matters. I guess equal fault also to supposed Christians who have a very nursery and childlike interpretation and understanding of the Bible.

I know some who prayed before a trip and never got there, and those who don’t even believe in divinity that got to their destinations without the agency of prayer. Most things we pray and seek spiritual support for are things that governments of developed countries have already answered. And guess what, they’re not even as religious as we are here because wisdom is profitable to the wise. That last bit was from the Bible too! Abi u pray reach Myles Munroe that died with his family in a plane crash? Don’t put God in ur moral box, His love is neither conditional nor transactional!
