Hello house Please I need advice. I’m currently in the pool with a crs score in the high 490’s, I’m married and had put down my spouse as non accompanying. However now my spouse is suggesting he would like to come along now (my initial plan was to sponsor him when I land). The problem is, he isn’t willing to do IELTS or get his ECA so all I’ll do is loose points. I’ve lost 28 points from adding him to my application. I know spousal sponsorship can take as long as a year but I also don’t want to waste time and miss out on the possibility of ITA this year when my IELTS expires in a couple months. Suggestions please?
you should be talking to him not us. If he is not willing to do ielts and eca then he should wait for sponsorship. Abi which kind juju be this o lol

It's a he, not a she. Only men can be that entitled, while undeserving

I think there is another way out, which is unpopular..A lady said she included her husband as accompanying after getting PPR as unaccompanied...She said it is legal tho not popular among people, maybe you can tow that path... You need to get ITA as soon as possible with that score as changes to EXPRESS ENTRY would commence from the 1st quarter of next year.. Good luck

Waoh! Pls how does this work out?
Is the EE profile still active after getting ITA and accepting it or PPR?
If you add your spouse AFTER PPR, does it require IELTS and ECA ?
Pls @Graciouswords @makano @ednut clarify.....

Hello everyone, can anyone please clear my curiosity as to why IELTS is preferred to CELPIP? Particularly as it seems CELPIP is more lenient and easier to pass…

Is there a particular advantage that IELTS have over CELPIP?

Thank you!!!

You have come too far to let the rejection stand.

Please please please don't wait for a response to the webforms or emails as you have just 10 days to the deadline for JR.

Contact a lawyer like yesterday.

Wish you the best.[/quote]

Not only men can be entitled while undeserving. In my experience I have encountered more entitled women than men however, I totally understand if your own experience is different.

I get it is now a social media thing to make the other gender look bad but ill encourage us to show more empathy.

CELPIP was only introduced to Nigeria this year or last I think, it was previously unavailable.....it's all we knew so that's why we talk more about it.

The options are:
*ignore him, remain unaccompanying and sponsor later.
*oblige him and convince him to do IELTS & ECA.
*oblige him, no ECA & IELTS, you lose CRS points...... wait for CRS to drop or PNP to click.
*oblige him, no IELTS or ECA, you remain unaccompanying and add him after PPR like Samuelobiora19 suggested (some people say they've done this and got PPR for their previously unaccompanying spouse, CRS was not recalculated). It doesn't seem to be written in black and white that an unaccompanying spouse can be added post PPR but to be fair to IRCC, they do say you can add a dependent at any point until you land.....page 1 FAQ 34 (can it only be a new spouse or does a previously unaccompanying spouse qualify? They did not clarify).

In any event, it might be prudent if your IELTS is expiring in a couple of months i.e. 2 months, to rewrite now and avoid ineligible profile issues while keeping your tie break advantage whether or not Oga is coming.

I’m really curious as to how they can be added post PPR. As I saw a tweet on twitter by the IRCC handle saying they would recalculate your points if you do that. I’ll probably have to find the link and share. My IELTS expires in April, that’s why I’m not in a hurry to rewrite just yet. I’ve decided if by some reason I don’t get ItA by Jan, I’ll look at re-sitting in February 2023

I'm not aware that IMM type forms are needed for an SINP application....would have thought SINP have their own forms. Best to check on their website - there will be a list of the documents required for the stream Sasks invited you to apply for.

Please can anyone help me out here. So I got ADR for Pcc for the country I am currently holding a residence permit. I applied and got the pcc, but it seems d new placeholder on my cic account requires that I include issue date and expiry date. Tried to avoid putting an expiry date but it keeps saying that I fill d expiry date, meanwhile there is no expiry on the pcc. Pls what should I do? My residence permit ends Dec 2024. Should I use that date? I will appreciate responses

I’d say what’s the validity of PCC in that country? Maybe find out on the internet or even ask around. Some places is a year, others 6 months, so I’d just put that starting from the date of collection. I wouldn’t put the date your residence permit expires since you still live there currently

A friend of mine two years ago got PR, left Ireland for Nigeria to marry and travelled to Canada hoping to sponsor his wife once he settles.
At the port of entry, he was lucky to meet an Immigration officer who was kind to tell him "If I allow you in, it will take about a year to get your wife visa but if you go back and apply from outside Canada it is only weeks.

so he did and in one month, he got his wife visa. Then he travelled to Canada, started working and then about 3months in, his wife came to join.

I will ask him how he did that and come back here.

Also, I must say he already got a job offer right after he got the PR.
