i saw a lot of Nigerian parents in the UK when i was there in the early 200s trying to overdo ( which is not bad sha), Also guilty of same in Canada along with many Nigerians . I went back this year to visit , some of those children they were hustling for had cut them out of their lives citing mental health, some done turn druggie, some have no motivation in life. Alot of them just want a normal life all this wealth stuff, dem no send.

Life is about Money. Life is about Making an impact and having footprints on the sands of time. I advise that you design a plan to retire early with your family to help build our country. No one will build for you all that run away. Some of us could afford to buy homes out there but choose to stay here and help build this place.

HNI experience is unrelated to building multi-generational wealth using family offices structures. It does not require you to be Ivy league trained.

You were birth as a black man from your village for a reason. You are to break the cycle within your families and nation and help build Africa, not to abandon it because Life is tough and run away to live happy on a land that another man's ancestors sweated to build.

Do not repeat the same mistakes your ancestors made. Go out there and make money and come build this place one plot at a time. That is what I am doing, if we all can sweat it out and face the dangers, our kids and grandkids won't have to migrate.

You all should be ashamed of running away from your homes.

Happens a lot. I am one of those who got that great life at a tender age. I did not know what to do with the money, I was spending millions daily like a Trust fund baby, until it hit me.

I took a one year vacation to SS of Nigeria and then I got the message. I was to help build my ancestral home. Then I began acquiring land and building stuff and I feel more fulfilled. No more alcohol or drugs could make me happier.

Connect those kids back to their roots and when they find their purpose, they will be overjoyed with helping build our homes.

Right now, I suspended investing abroad totally, I love it here. So I am speaking out of a great experience.

I can predict that the OP's children will face same dilema. We must return back to our roots and find out purpose. We were designed to be here for a reason.

Money is everything if you know your purpose from your root. You do not know it yet because you havent made money yet. When that time comes, you will basically realize it.

You are basically surviving that's why you think abroad is the answer. But have a plan to connect your kids back to their heritage, otherwise, long after you are gone, they will search for the source of their inner emptiness or fill it with drugs otherwise, mental illness is the basic.

I did not run, I simply went to earn more and collect second passport lol, My savings after tax and bills here is way better than my net pay before bills in Nigeria in Nigeria doing same job. That's not running. Nigeria has 200m population only an unwise person wont invest or come back to take advantages of the opportunities.

You are doing exactly what every person abroad should do. I own properties too at Lekki, but I am building better things at my State now. You are a great African for building from ground up.

Here is a current WHO vacancies now in Nigeria and salary was advertised for 10000 USD per month for a doctor another a logistics manager with 20m naira salary .there several well paid jobs in NLNG , Total etc . So aspect of Nigeria is better .like child care ,taking. Care of old person . social interaction . hospital appointment and renting houses and low tax .

Sorry Sir, I do not intend to shut up about the latest wave of economic emigrants aka Aquarian Age Slaves. When the entire physical world is merging with digital world, why the physical movement of entire families as if your own land rejected you.

These are people who exist because the government and society must provide them opportunities and happiness, which is not a bad thing to do. But for the sake of our Ancestors, do not move your children. If they were born here, they have a date with destiny.

Even if you have moved or about to move, build something on ground here, and travel for businesses and holiday reasons. It is cowardice to rejoice because 'japa with entire family'. We are not at war with any other country, do not behave like refugees. Thanks…… I’m old enough to know who to argue with. I just feel like I should share my experience for those that might need information. I noticed most people that condemned migrating to US, UK or any other western countries are those that have never actually lived there. I believe in giving correct information

I don't have friends but what you just showed is on paper which is not relative to the reality on ground it's only a few that are well paid the majority are underpaid

I heard the regular savings, I mean an average savings for an average individual over there is 200 to 300$ after taxes and dues. Now I am thinking, even in Nigeria here, I used to have as much as that as savings here, so what is the essence??

I just want to try and learn one or two skills to be able to work remotely.

Imagine working remotely and earning dollars just to spend it in naira, even if it's as low as 10$ per hour.

Most of the emigrants are citing health facilities, which also exists here also even at Abuja and VI which are way cheaper than abroad even if you were to fly to Lagos or Abuja and stay in porsche hotels for such treatment.

What also help me was deciding that I could spend less than the amount for utilities like electricity in Nigeria I could produce myself 24/7 electricity so what is the point complaining? Even if you dey abroad, you go still spend higher on electricity.

the girl that is currently depressed after closing her 2m income business is on a student visa like you now workings lowlife care work !the guy searching for home in Manchester for 2 months are also in the uk ,the one that flew to Najia to do a tooth surgery is also in the uk .Most Nigerian don't paint the true picture of the issue and bad side not to look stupid in the eye of those in Najia . Imagine telling you co worker that you now remove diapers after leaving a bank manager job in nija .no body does .....

Talk about health facilities, Wen u re making it in dollars over here, or probably if u re making it big in naira u can go to a first-class hospital to have Ur health check-up with little compared to what u will be paying there consistently even when u re not needing the services for two years.

Electricity....well, u have said it all, get Ur standby mikano or Ur solar.
