My uncle died after almost 4yrs of total memory loss, he remembered nothing till his last day, he was knocked down by someone riding against traffic, if your vehicle is impounded for driving against traffic or you’re even jailed for life, zero sympathy!

https://twitter.com/tundealuko/status/1570477540007096320?t=FcoiVrii-iOAsWGCovWbVA&s=19

My cousin was on Okada late last month, this soul driving against traffic killed him and the Okada man and speed off into the air.

People should buy those vehicles for farthing even, like you said zero sympathy. People are just wicked.

My sister died 5 years ago in similar situation, just a day after she graduated from UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN. she was coming back from church but was knocked down by someone running against traffic also drunk according to what we heard.

My leader’s brother-in-law was knocked down by a car driving against traffic over a year ago. It’s to the glory of God that the Ẹgbọn is still alive and as at that, he can’t walk by himself again till today. Hard for me to say the punishment is too severe mehn.

It's a simple traffic violation till you have to deal with the outcome of someone's stupidity.

One of my patients is a 8yr old boy who was knocked down by "simple traffic violator" in Lagos on his way back from school.

Has volksmans ischemic contracture as a complication.Lost one full year of school.
Moved back to the village so the burden could be less on his widowed mum.

Did I mention he lost his dad in the same accident?

And may never have full function in that hand again.

So no I have no sympathy for people who break the law knowingly.

Just yesterday my principal lost his uncle exactly the same way. Yes, let the law take it course.

Later, other people will complain the punishment given by the government is too stringent?

One way drivers deserve all they get. We must all be law abiding citizens.

People will say the laws are too stringent. You claim and shout "sane society'. But in the so called sane society, people who flaunt traffic laws are being jailed, their licences withdrawed for years or for life. Yet something that can and will kill you,you play jokes with it.

Someone that I know lost his life through one way driving recently. Going on his lane and one idiot just came for no where. And you think this is okay? Na jail term them go dey go next na then, them go know say they should use their sense next time when driving.

Nonesense

driving against traffic should be totally frowned upon but that doesn't change the fact that Lagos traffic law is too draconian

the law only affects the poor

you will not see very expensive vehicles of island big boys/men being auction

whereas these rich dudes are the master of one-way violations

Truth is, most of us are guilty of this one-way drive.
May we just never be caught but if caught, accept whatever comes.

Funny how they want a better Country that will enable them to constantly break the law without penalty.

You break the law easily and shed crocodile tears when the consequences come.

The law will cure that madness!

Let victim of political injustice, illgal police procecutions also talk.. One way deserves punishment but not impounding of vehicles. If victim of overspeeding vehicles talk, you go know sey na times 100 of this, should we impound all vehicles that go above speed limit?

Mine was okada, Ikeja under bridge, June 14, 2021. Had ankle dislocation, it took the Grace of God to survive after close to 4 months on crutches. The aboki was driving against traffic, I had just alighted from Keke coming from Opebi. Strange day!!!

There's no sympathy here, once you're a one way offender and had been apprehended, they should face the law.

Okay... Tinubu has sold their vehicles directly to Agberos and drug addicts that are working for him.... They are going to use it as his campaign vehicles that they will retain after....

There was a quote I saw and I feel to share it, below is the quote about Tokyo with attached pictures. The purpose of sharing this post is to let Nigerians understand that the greatness of this country lies in our hands. We disobey the rules and regulations at any slight opportunity, yet we are aspiring for a better Nigeria, even though we are not ready to do what it takes to be great. It's the people living in a certain country that are developing the country not the government.
"While walking on the streets of Tokyo, I realised that the streets are cleaner than any place I have seen (except Iceland of course).

This was not the culture shock though.

I was shocked when I couldn’t find a bin on the street to dispose off the empty bottle of water I had grabbed.

One of the locals in the hostel told me that they have very few bins on the streets.

It amazes me how the Japanese are still able to keep the streets so clean.

I have been to quite a few places around the world but I am yet to see the Japanese level of commitment to cleanliness.
"
Can such a level of neatness happen in Nigeria?, can the people be well organized to this level? Yet we believe that all the problems came from the Government only. We never take responsibility, average Nigerians blame everything on others. Till today we still blame our colonizers, whereas other colonized countries have moved on.
