Jodera:i want to believe if qualification have been secured; lemme say Match Day 4-5, he'll get to field these youngsters. as a new coach, i don't think he would want to risk anything at this stage, hence why he's playing his strongest XI |

Illimitable:i hope this is true. i think the club scouts have enough time between now and January to identify a suitable midfield target for eth |

ChristineC:It's games like this that we should be playing the youngsters. How will the youngsters come in and get good game time if the senior players have not made sure to destroy any hope of a come back? If the team is leading 3-5 goals at 60 minutes, won't the coach be able to bring in 5 fringe players at once to ease the pressure on his 16-man strong players? |

eph12:Youngsters should go on loan. We mean business with every game now. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Jodera: 7:42am On Sep 16, 2022 |
superfelix:From Oct to November where all Europa group stages is to be completed, there's football every Thurs , meaning Man u will be playing Thursday and Sunday football on a weekly basis till world cup. I don't see the perfect time to give any youngster opportunity if not during those Thur matches except he wants to run Eriksen to the ground. Man u can't afford to be playing their strongest lineup every Thurs and Sunday, how much more Eriksen. And when I mean youngsters, I don't mean up to 3-4 oo, but at least one especially if that one is for Eriksen deputy. It's not as if there isn't a ready talent in academy for that position |

Karleb:I'm not sure you read what I wrote. I'm not asking for youngsters to start |

Illimitable:Everything is not always about racism and British passport like you always like shouting bro, what about Saka, Abraham, James, Bellingham, Ivan Toney and Sterling that have been called up, truth is Maguire has not had a bad game for England forget about his performance in shitty United same with Shaw, Bowen is good seems you don't watch West ham games, Rashford is injured and Sancho is still not convincing |

Citylifeboi:Sancho should’ve been invited. He’s in better form and has had better performances than a lot of those who were called up. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Citylifeboi: 9:52am On Sep 16, 2022 |
Leyqute:Alot of those? Hmm are you sure about that? apart from Grealish which other forward in the list is he in better form than? Don't get me wrong Sancho is good but still struggles most times to beat his man maybe it has to do with United not dominating teams enough sha |

Illimitable:Ronaldo haters would have killed Haaland if he joined, they don't like a striker who doesn't press bress .... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 10:24am On Sep 16, 2022 |
TrebleChamp:Haaland is an anomaly. Any team would make allowances for his lack of pressing. Even Pep the press secretary sef no mind am. Do you know what it is to be averaging a goal a game for Norway? ![]() Apart from the strikers who played for Norway before the 2nd World War every other top striker averaged between 1 in 5 and 1 in 3. If Ronaldo was prime Ronaldo nobody would be complaining about pressing or lack of pressing. However you can't be firing blanks/playing poorly and also not pressing as well. That is the definition of an orogbo striker. And you know i am not a Ronaldo hater. |

Citylifeboi:Forwards: Tammy Abraham (AS Roma), Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Jack Grealish (Manchester City), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Raheem Sterling (Chelsea), Ivan Toney (Brentford) How many of these players are having a better season than Sancho? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 10:39am On Sep 16, 2022 |
Afrodoc2 you’re a Ronaldo hater. How can you be asking a whole GOAT to press? Is it bress? Just create chances for him and he’ll score. Please stop the hate ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TrebleChamp(m): 10:39am On Sep 16, 2022 |
afrodoc2:Haaland would have struggled at United last season Doc, and people will accuse him of being lazy, not linking up play and of course doesn't press. I know how some United fans a.k.a Ronaldo haters reason on this board, Haaland will collect wotowoto. As for the bolded, let me investigate it fess ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by superfelix: 10:42am On Sep 16, 2022 |
Jodera:if we're winning comfortably around 60mins or so, I'm sure he would introduce these youngsters. Losing against Real soceidad certainly didn't help, rn all eth would want is to win and qualify for the next round. i feel there might be some changes in the next EL match though |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 10:45am On Sep 16, 2022 |
TrebleChamp:There is no way Haaland would have struggled when Ronaldo scored 18 goals in 30 games. At this point in their careers Haaland is the deadlier striker. Not taking anything away from Ronaldo who is all time great and has paid his dues. It is modafukingly what it is. Haaland that averaged a goal a game in Europe while playing for Molde and Red Bull Salzburg? The concept of Haaland struggling is unknown to man. ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TrebleChamp(m): 11:19am On Sep 16, 2022 |
afrodoc2:Looking at how United played last season, i believe Haaland would have struggled to score many goals. The supply from fullbacks and wingers was very poor last season, plus also having a horrible midfield combo of Pogba/McFred and a horrible defence as teammates. Haaland is a goal machine, but would press press advocates allow him stay inside the box patiently waiting his chance to score? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 11:31am On Sep 16, 2022 |
TrebleChamp:So, Ronaldo took the ball from our half and dribbled his way through the opposition to score 18 goals? Doc is telling you that for Ronaldo to score 18 goals, Haaland would most likely have scored even more... Stop calling everyone who criticizes Ronaldo a hater, it just doesn't make sense...Rooney did more for Man Utd yet he was criticized here when he was playing poorly so, why not Ronaldo? Even now, you guys never hold back when other players are involved but once it's Ronaldo, we should all turn a blind eye...Bros, no be so oh! |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 11:53am On Sep 16, 2022 |
TrebleChamp:Haaland averages almost a goal a game whether he is playing for minnows Molde, minnows Salzburg, or decent Dortmund. The first time he has played for a dominant team and he is causing calculators to crash. Ronaldo scored18 goals. They were created by his team mates he wasn't gifted the goals by Oluweri. Haaland at this stage is better than Ronaldo. He would have scored more than 18 goals. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TrebleChamp(m): 12:05pm On Sep 16, 2022 |
patrickmuf:Patrick you are one of the many that would criticise him at United. Ronaldo scored 24 goals last season, yet you and some still find fault in his game and even accuse him of not letting others score. Una go complain about some aspect of Haaland's game no matter how many goals he scores. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 12:10pm On Sep 16, 2022 |
TrebleChamp:I defended Ronaldo here last season but still, the criticism is valid as he has to do more... You think Pep will not be working with Haaland to improve his all round game? Definitely, Pep will be doing that...In a year or two, Haaland will be better and that's if he listens to Pep. Ronaldo is not above constructive criticism... |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TrebleChamp(m): 12:15pm On Sep 16, 2022 |
afrodoc2:Yet people still dragged and are still dragging him, they will drag Haaland too for not contributing to team play especially when United midfielders are having their usual horrible day. The number of goals he scores for the team won't matter to them, as long as he doesn't press bress on the pitch.... |

patrickmuf:No he is not. Haaland has all he need in midfield, don't think we will be seeing him do much except scoring inside the box. Seem he even prefer to do less and score more ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 12:34pm On Sep 16, 2022 |
TrebleChamp:You are mixing up 2 different issues. Whether people will drag him or not is not really important to me as people will drag you no matter what you do if they do wish. People drag Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky. My issue is your statement that Haaland will struggle to score goals when Ronaldo scored 18. The goals Ronaldo scored last season were not gifted to him by Osiris, they were still created by those clueless teammates. If Ronaldo scored 18 Haaland would have crossed the 20 goal mark. Imagine Haaland linking up with his boy Sancho and spam master Bruno. |

afrodoc2:Lol, this is how it begins...fanatics! Every high performing player has his Edge. Tomorrow now you will tell us if Haaland was in Barca during Messi's time, he would have won more Ballon d'or. Make una allow Haaland Enjoy his time abeg. All this joblessness of comparing one player to another is meaningless. |
