Check again. Most sentences will run concurrently. Jail terms are day and night. So the longest one is 21 years which is actually 10years and 6months. He has also served like 3 years while they were holding him for trial.

Plus minus he will serve just 7 years and come out! And don't even think he lost much. He is smart. He sent his wife and kids away. Gave them enough money and probably owns properties abroad. When he comes out he will simply find away to have a decent life. The blame should go to the big boys in government he was working for and with.

Until kidnapping begins to attract summary death sentence with quick execution within 2 months of expedited court hearing, people will keep kidnapping their fellow humans.

Edit: They said he already has life sentences in which case that takes precedence meaning the guy is rotting in jail!

Which of his cases gets death sentence in Nigeria? None! If it was just as you said he'll walk free by the time the judgements are done because they'll count how long they held him. However, they said he already has life sentence so that settle him in jail for life.
