It seems Super Eagles will play two friendly matches with Algeria. One with their home based team and the other with their main team.

Dear Elyte89, I know this shade was probably meant for me but that is the problem with many of you in here. It is called... AMNESIA

It was Samueltemi337 that said He is a Lucky Player NOT TheSupernerd.

It was Fabyom who said he would do better if he had Haaland's stature NOT TheSupernerd.

I followed y'all convos that day and just minded my business. Lol

See below...

Samueltemi337:
Haaland is just a lucky player
Also...it was Fabyom that said this much below that led to the Lucky player part by Samueltemi337. wink

fabyom:
If I possess his stature and playing for a team like Mancity, I will be scoring hattrick every game! He can't dribble. Can't hold the ball well. He scores from normal strikers movements. Nothing special in his goals. Absolutely nothing. He offers nothing special to City. Even Umar Sadiq will score those goals!
Now, this one below actually sees him make some fine points on Haaland but saying he (Haaland) isn't better in anything compared to Gabby J was where he missed it.

Why? Well, Finishing. Haaland is literally better than any striker today at FINISHING. Scoring in other terms.

fabyom:
But Gabby J goals are of special quality now at Arsenal. The coach did not believe in him. Haaland is not better than Gabriel Jesus in anything. Dribbling, hold up, pressing, passing etc Gabriel J tops him. He only tops Gabby J in height and stature.
Me on the other hand already knew what was coming. I said it on twitter the day his move to Man City was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano (Check graphic below).

I have always called him one name since he emerged and I stand by it... "The Goals Machine".
Why? because whether we like it or not, he will outscore anyone. But fact also remains he is not well rounded.

Finishing and Elite positioning sense are his greatest attributes in addition to his physical presence in the box.
His ability to attack the most vulnerable blind side spaces of his markers is like a gift from the football gods. It's almost like it's inborn and this is part of why he will always score.

Haaland is an Elite Goals Machine who will never be outscored by anyone or perhaps will be outscored only by a few on rare occasions. But he doesn't have it all. And NOPE he isn't lucky abeg. You don't develop that high sense for goals via mere luck. Lad is deliberate in his movements in and around the box. Watch him closely and you all will see it. No luck here.

So Papa Haaland, abeg... If you wanna talk to me through the corner, make sure it is ACTUALLY me you are talking to through the corner. grin

Don't mistake me for someone else because of the previous Osimhen vs Haaland debate once had here where I insisted and still stand by that Osimhen is more complete than Haaland as far the CF role is concerned.

My tweet below regarding Haaland's move... check the date (May 9).

The Nigeria Football Federation should consider making a move for Moritz Jenz, who plays for Scottish Premiership giants, Celtic on loan from Lorient in France and is a central defender by trade.

Born in Berlin, Jenz is uncapped at international level by his country of birth Germany and also qualifies to represent the Super Eagles based on the 'granny rule'.

The 23-year-old has had a fine start to life at Parkhead, scoring two goals in seven appearances and helping the Hoops keep three cleansheets in the process.

For now, Jenz is leaning towards representing Germany over Nigeria because he has close ties to the European giants.

"I qualify for Germany and Nigeria but I would prefer Germany because that’s where I grew up, " Jenz told the Scottish media in July.

“It’s a great country to play for an hopefully one day I can make a couple of appearances, then maybe a couple more and then, who knows, perhaps play in a World Cup or Euros.

“But I need to do my best for the club first. That’s the most important thing and after that we can talk about the national team."

Standing at 6 ft 3 inches, Jenz is a threat from set-pieces due to his height as he won't be easily bullied in the air.

The lanky defender can also be deployed as a right fullback, having played there several times.

Jenz would be a great addition to the Super Eagles, considering the inactivity of William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun's age.

Only Calvin Bassey and Kevin Akpoguma out of all invited central defenders for the international friendly against Algeria play in top European Leagues.

The Nigeria Football Federation have convinced several dual nationals including Alex Iwobi, Maduka Okoye, Leon Balogun, Troost-Ekong, Calvin Bassey, Joe Aribo, Ola Aina and Cyriel Dessers to pledge their international future to the Super Eagles.

But that doesn't change the fact
that he is a very lucky player too

Watch most of his goals and
you will know what I mean by LUCK

Luck isn't the best word to characterise Haaland quite frankly. For someone with the kind of goal stats he has, he's "damn too lucky". That luck is too consistent.

I still maintain my stance. I prefer Gabby J to him. Arsenal is topping with Gabby J! I am not wrong!
There is a guy in Celtic on loan from Lorient, Moritz Jenz. He has a Nigerian grandfather. He is a very good defender. Although he prefers Germany, I do not think he would turn our invite down cos he is 23 now. Do you know more about him?

Your proposition is infantile and lacking substance, the quality of the league and club you play for is pivotal in appraising your attributes and qualities.

Your proposition in the bold, does not follow any rational path your using self birthed conjecture and assumptive bias to make your own misguided conclusions.

I didn't rate Onyeka before and even now he has not been outstanding, considering his time in the EPL with Brentford. He is there but largely anonymous, he is not making any waves.

However, in comparison to what we have outside of Ndidi he is possibly the best option as a DM then again Ajayi can also play that position.
Onyeka isn't primarily a defensive midfielder..He is a CM ..the same role Alhassan and Onyedika play..
You admitted that he hasn't been outstanding in the premier league but still prefer him to other aside Ndidi as per say he is a premier league player... Lion in a small league doesn't apply here abi?

And don't talk about Ajayi playing DM.. The last time he played there for us under Rohr,he was terribly poor..

Na you get your stance. No wahala.

And yes, I know about Moritz Jenz but I am just finding out today that he has Nigerian lineage links. Discovered that via twitter earlier today. That really is surprising and exciting at the same time. I have watched him a few times for Celtic, while watching Celtic and I must say he is indeed very decent.

It would be a steal to have him but an interview in 22nd July, which I saw in a post I was tagged to on twitter today on the lad, reveals that he prefers Germany even though he admitted he is eligible for Nigeria and Germany.

I hope we can approach him though. We can offer him the chance of senior international football right now especially as he doesn't seem to be in the picture of Die Mannschaft.
