I just check my Stanbic IBTC Equity Fund (after a long time of not checking) only to find out that there have been losses. I checked just now and noticed more loss.

Would you advise I pull out my money or just watch it for some time?

PS: More than half of the interest accrued over time is gone

Dont ever pull out, thats one mistake you will regret, the funds assigned units to you at entry so whatever happens, your units are intact, once the price wakes up, you recover everything including interest if you are patient, if you exit now, you are selling those units less than you bought it, there is no chance of recovery.

Yes but only the detailed statement works, it works better than your traditional bank account.

Thanks for your response. When you say detailed statement, do you mean the one they share when I use the “send to embassy” feature on their website as opposed to the statement I can print out from their page?

This your question nr clear.

Do you mean ₦5.60 per share OR ₦5.60 per 2 shares?

They said per 2 Kobo share, which share is 2 Kobo?

Yes, the one that shows inflow & monthly balance, not really, haven't used that feature before.

5.60 X 100 = 560 ÷ 10 X 9 = 504.

It is just me or Stanbic MMF is not as competitive as before. Historically their interest rates are significantly lower compared to their competitors.

In my books FBNQ MMF seems to be doing far better than them in all aspects.

The link to check their current interest rate is not working, are they trying to hide it lol.

If they are tired, I am not tired of moving.

Please how long does it take the fund managers to pay/distribute dividend on Mutual fund after the end of the quarter?

It varies by FM's.

Usually a couple of days into the month following the completion of a quarter: January, April, July & October.

For example, FBNQ and I think, SIAML both made their Q3 payments on 5th October.

Well, their rate is higher at 11.3% but I don't understand them. Just have some reservations

Always between 1st and 7th into the new quarter.
Reinvestment is usually done earlier before cash payment into investors' bank accounts

If the rate is fine, I wouldn't mind the delay.
In fact I'm thinking of dividing my capital into 2 and run a 6 month comparison on 2 different platforms to see the difference in ROI

That's a good idea. What rate are you getting from Stanbic?
