Congratulations. May the land of Canada favour you.

Sylvester4040:
this journey started early 2022 when my cousin travelled to Canada to study, and I had just finished my secondary school education. my parents decided I should apply for my visa. I Did alot of research here on Nairaland. I then applied June 15th, September I didn't get any update from IRCC, so I decided to defer to January.

PPR timeline
Application submitted using gckey: June 15 2022
upfront medical: may 12th 2022
biometrics: June 16th
medical request: July 1st 2022
I already did upfront medical b4, but they requested for my medicals again. so I sent them the one I had already done before
BVL: Sep 13, 2022
PPR: Sep 22, 2022

Documents submitted
* upfront medicals
* CAC
* parents statement of account
* custodian letter
* IELTS
* Tax clearance certificate
* affidavit of sponsorship from my parents
* bank reference letter
* parents landed property with Registered survey and certificate of ownership
* bank statement of account with no lump sum
* My birth certificate, NIN
* my parents and siblings birth certificate and nin
* College Unconditional Official Letter of Admission
* Tuition deposit receipt of $2650 (from the College)
* Copy of my NECO result
* Copy of my International Passport Bio data page
* Copy of my family picture (parents, Siblings and I)
* Statement of Purpose.

I am going to centennial college for advanced diploma in software Engineering technology, i initially applied for Sep 2022 but I later deferred to January 2023 because my visa was delayed.

throughout my wait I never sent them emails. when i got BVL without ppr for over a week I was so worried but God didn't let me down . all Glory to God almighty!. I wish everyone waiting for ppr Good luck.

I'm sorry everyone for the confusion it's actually a post secondary (undergraduate) program.
But when I applied it was for an advanced diploma which is 3 years. smiley

Greetings to all once again...

FOR flight booking for Students, can one do a ONE WAY TICKET, or its mandatory to do a RETURN TICKET?

Responses will be highly highly appreciated.

My family used this exact route a few years ago. No issues.

Are you going to MUN?

bjd09:
it will not if you are not changing airline, i called ethiopian air line last week to ask the same question and i was told i wont be needing transit visa so far the stop over is just 45min.

When I applied, I saw the option for diploma and advanced diploma.
I picked advanced diploma as it was supposed to run for 3 years unlike diploma which will only run for 2 years
I think people are getting it wrong. Centennial offer 2 types of advanced diploma. The requirement for the 3 years advanced diploma is SSCE while for the 2 years fast track is a diploma, degree or relevant work experience

I think we have graduate diploma( bsc required) and advanced diploma (Waec only)

there is an advanced diploma that require degree or work experience. But instead of spending 3 years you will finish in 2 years. They both undergraduates. Graduate certificate is different

Exactly.
The fast track Advanced diploma is when you already have previous experience or education in that field

He transferred his credits when he returned to Nigeria.
His study permit expired in July and he didn’t leave Canada till December. He wasn’t told by IRCC to leave.
olokings:
simple logical reasoning will flag this applicants profile with tons of reasons.

He abadoned his study and had to return back to Nigeria to finish his first degree.... abadoning his study is one thing, having to return back to Nigeria to do and complete another first degree is something else and a huuuuuuuge red flag. Did he transfer his credits from his Canadian school to Nigeria or he came and started from scratch?

He abadoned his study (incomplete) but yet overstayed his study permit in Canada? Bros, this tori get kobo-kay leg!

Lets be frank, if you were the VO, you wont make issues out of it, you will give him a record decision. Unless, i didnt get your story straight.

Good Evening to everyone.

can i used NECO to get admission in any of the Canada Schools

Yes, but be careful. I was denied for using Neco and their response was that the school does not accept NECO RESULTS this was after paying Application Fees ooO.

Then I learnt to be going thoroughly well with schools admission requirements before Applying. I think it was UNB that did that to me.
UPEI was because I never had C4 (atleast) in every of my important subjects that they needed.

MUN states it categorically that they accepts.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Fredisbavk: 1:51pm On Sep 22, 2022
This was around 2016 and he wasn’t told to leave by IRCC. I heard IRCC didn’t have an authentic means to know who left their country by air till 2020. Will they still know?

Anon123:

It will be a bigger issue if he does not declare himself that he overstayed because IRCC already knows.

miimssss:
Goodmorning NLs,

Please kindly assist with these….
I have a few questions:

1. do I need to book an appointment with VFS to submit my passport for stamping ? Or do I just go there with my documents and passport ?
2. I did my biometrics in Abuja and I will be submitting the passport here in Abj, is there any need to pay any fee ??
3. When it’s time for passport collection, is it pickup or delivery?

Thank you

You can walk into Vfs abuja. Someone submitted there on Tuesday and got it today.

I can think of one reason causing the delay of applications… The Ukraine - Russia war. Canada have unprepared backlog that it’s affecting both prospective students… na to wait and be hopeful walahi because worrying won’t help. They no even dey reply we form quick or mails at all

I am applying only for myself, no one accompanying me. And it's show me this.

Fees Quantity 2

Total $300

I don't get it.

Please, can anyone explain to me. Maybe I made a mistake somewhere.

Thanks

Hi, it’s showing study permit for 2. So if it’s just you applying you might have to change to 1.
