we are enjoying our cheap fuel .petrol 170 per litre ,Nepa 45 per kilo watt , dentist 8 k with immediate appointment, weather 29 , fresh organic food ( yam ,rice ,local Chicken ) cheap insurance ,buying our Auto cars like venza with 10k insurance , attending party and social life ( seeing Friends and family ) and 35000 British people are here with us and our japa crew group are paying thousand of pounds as tution all hustled from Najia .but our politician's na Bleep up .

All you have quoted as cheap aren't in practical sense if you look at the standard of living in Nigeria.

How many average Nigerians can afford the aforementioned when they barely earn $1 or less a day.

you have been brain wash by Western financial institution .even a Akara seller makes more than 4 k daily seller in side corner . Most Mama put restaurant make around 30k gross income while.keke and bus driver make around 10k on week days and even pays abegro around 1k as fees

Where are you again? Naija or overseas?

If in overseas, I wonder why you would leave a place you are so comfortable of making the above mentioned gains and wealth to come to a place where your brain would be washed...

The IR35 reform will be repealed from April 6, 2023, according to this morning’s mini-Budget.

I am liking this man Kwasi Kwarteng.... he is my man of the hour. Lol

Allowing that nonsense to go through was one of that silly pikin Sunak's greatest mistakes.
It's one of my annoyances with him - Sunak was basically a weak Chancellor with no idea of anything policy related. IR35 wasn't his idea, but he just waved it through without thinking about its consequences, when he could have stopped it. Basically the cabal in the Treasury captured him. At least Kwasi has sacked one of the main cabal guys, so at least hopefully he will be able to think for himself. IR35 was stupid in that it assumed all self-employed people were the same, potential disguised employees, so really did a lot of harm.

The next rubbish Treasury policy Kwasi should abolish is the stupid Making Tax Digital nonsense, which is designed to make money for a single software supplier and drive landlords and the self employed crazy with nonsense technology and filing requirements.

Please how much is now Flight ticket from Nigeria to Uk?

There's no fixed rate.

Fares change for so many reasons.

The further your booking date is from your departure date, the cheaper your fare. Off-season is cheaper than travel season, etc.

You can search with wakanow, travelstart, Googleflights, etc

Best of luck.

I used to think like this growing up until I realised that the world richest people living the choicest lives are the world's biggest debtors.

If you know how much debt Dangote get you will change your mind. Even USA dey owe.

And just so you know, you're free to save the complete money and build your house or buy in cash.

Na only China I no know weda they are in debt.

So, how many people in the same naija have £100,000 cash to buy houses in Ikoyi or Lekki?

Is it the same 9ja people are struggling to pay school fees of their kids or another one?

Sorry o, but is this Kwasi Kwarteng saying tax rates will be pegged at 40% for everyone?

1/2congrats on the 30 years work need to pay . We will complete the congrats in 2045 when the payments is completed either by you or you kids . In Najia most of our houses is paid for and we don't bother about interest rate hike affecting our monthly payments of mortgages like the bank of England 2.2 hike will make payments jump from 2000 pounds per months to 2600 .in some part of Nijia you can build a house for 60 to 70m and sell you 80 to 90m making 20m profits (zero tax ) .

Comparing how a corrupt third world country functions to a first world does already say it all but still, downplaying others achievement just to make yourself feel good is a sign of envy unless you're extremely ignorant and unwilling to learn.

Btw, I hope you steady have that 60-70m to build and sell steady as an average Nigerian.

It means that no-one will be required to pay more than 40% of their taxable income in tax where they fall into that income category.

Taxable income is a fluid term, Donald Trump can tell you more about it. In practice, the really rich pay tax lawyers to deal with all those sorts of things and rarely pay what they would be liable for on paper.

I don't see them abolishing inheritance tax entirely, what's most likely is that the thresholds will be raised.

Revolut is really sharing money. Last month, I made £100 from Referral bonuses alone. There are some months I earn more. As usual, I'm willing to give anyone £20 to open a Revolut Account, get a physical card and perform 3 card transactions of £5 each or more (could be Amazon or online purchases with the Virtual card).

My link

I think the poster above might be willing to do same so feel free to use his link too, I have enjoyed their largesse enough.

Another cool freebie as previously mentioned is BA Amex Credit Card. Use it for Groceries and Transport, pay back in full without interest and accumulate points. These accumulated points can be used to pay for flight in so many Airlines, not just BA. They can also be used to pay Hotel bookings, Taxis, etc for trips abroad.

I have used the card for about 12 weeks and accumulated roughly 70,000 points which is enough for a trip to anywhere in the world really, free of charge.

Please I will be arriving Heathrow on Wednesday. Can anyone please advice how to convert dollars to a prepaid card at the airport, with which one can atleast pay for public transportation and feeding before getting to my final destination in Manchester.

Or what do you guys advise?

I know I will need a place of residence before I can open bank account and get a bank card. But how do I survive the first few days without a bank card

30% would have made some more sense though! grin

Those earning £100K+ would have asbolutely loved if it was capped at 30
