Study permit is what you are issued at the Canadian Port of Entry that qualifies you to study whereas Visa is the legal ground/document to enter the country.I hope this helps.

Hello, pls I would like clarity on student permit and visa. I know they aren't the same but does getting student permit means your visa is approved?

It's refundable but they will deduct $200 administrative fee from it. But before you can get your refund, you must show them evidence of your study permit refusal.

Thank you so much

mrprolifik:

Conestoga college will refund your deposit only if you send them prove that your study permit application was rejected , by sending them a copy of the refusal letter from IRCC. Also you need to withdraw your acceptance before resumption starts. Lastly they will deduct $200cad and refund $1300cad to the same account you used in making the $1500cad deposit. You will need to sign into your student account to ask for a refund.
I know all this because my friend got his deposit refunded less $200cad from Conestoga college after his study permit application got rejected.

I really appreciate this information
Thanks

Lol, the guy is funny abeg. I think i will even stop using my real name here… because I’ve not seen someone using their real names here but then! I really can’t think of any other name… it’s difficult keeping up with different names and i just love the fact that Charito is a simple name to call shaa.
Point to note… If i want to be an agent… like if I decide this morning now that i will be an agent… Before evening, i would have made nothing less than 2M and NL will be the wrongest place to start from because i have trust issues here. All i need do is post on my Facebook wall… my friends and followers are 10k already there… I’m not even talking about the many shares i would have for same post. Because those Facebook people are like family… plus my account is an old one! On Facebook, they already know me, where to see me, what i look like so basically the trust has been built over the years so i won’t even need to stress to get clients.

I will now come and leave Facebook, a place i have grown trust, love, support and friendship and start agency work on NL. If i ever post it on Facebook… That will be the end of my stay here because i won’t even see space to breath… my hands will be filled with applications. Friends on Facebook literally send their business posts to me so i can post because because of my audience and this kid here thinks if i want to do online business I won’t blow? E come be Agency again wey everybody wan comot this country.

See eh! When I travel and post just 1 picture inside snow… Forget it… My comment session and dm will be full… people looking for way to go and asking for my help so NL is the least place on my mind. Was it not April i signed up here just 2 days after i applied.

Abi is it my WhatsApp. Make i just post pictures for WhatsApp status… out of my 1k plus WhatsApp contacts… at least 400 will chat me up to ask… i know how many views i get daily and one kid is here investigating what he himself doesn’t understand.

I didn’t come to this life to stress… Agency work on NL? No be hunger be that? E go pay my 6.6M tuition? Mtcheeew

Sorry dear did you apply in April? If yes have you received any feedback on your application/ PPR or something? I’m just wowed at the length of time though.

May GOD make it easier for you and everyone waiting

This isn’t a good place to ask this

She included an affidavit of return and she has a job and business waiting for her in Nigeria. I was just wondering if maybe some people really do intend to come back to Nigeria.

She didn't answer and that's ok. She doesn't have to. But her not answering answers my question.

Please gurus in the house, I greet you all.
Please can the gurus in the house help me to know the meaning of this and interpret it for me. I sent mail to the MP in the area of the school I am admitted and he replied me.
Am still waiting for any person that can answer me.
Someone should be please assist me......

Hello,
I spoke to IRCC regarding your case today, here is the information I received:

Eligibility has now started and is listed as "review required"
Because of the ‘review required’ tag it may or may not take longer than standard processing times to complete
A bring forward date of October 11th is listed

I hope that this information was helpful, if you have any further questions, please feel free to keep in contact with the office. However, if you are just looking for another update and there is not an immediate problem with your case that we need to try and resolve we ask that you wait 4-6 weeks before contacting our office again to allow IRCC time to work on your case, and due to our offices case load.

Kind regards,

When did you apply?

MP doesn't know whether it will take more than 12 weeks to process your application. You will likely not get any update until after 11th October because if there's no update in your application, the visa officer won't assess your application again until 11th October.

Not all MPs are friendly to international students.

There are no guarantees but that was what I did. My sponsor who is my elder brother works in saudi arabia while I am in Nigeria. I did an affidavit of support from Nigeria but I included both his address in Nigeria and Saudi on the affidavit. You will also attach his passport and yours to the affidavit. It's my personal experience though.

Did it work? Did your application get approved?

Good evening all.

Does one need to have all these money listed here or some of it like in UK before you are given admission and subquently get a visa?

If i have between 15k CAD to 20k CAD, can i get admission in this school?

If i get admission, will i be able to get a visa with like 20k CAD?

Thanks as i anticipate your response

Is the UK bank account under your name?

If you only have 20k CAD, it's not enough for the college in the image you uploaded. You need to have at least 30k CAD for that college.

Hello house, do you guys know of any Canadian college that offers immigration support like giving you a lawyer in Canada that will help you process your visa.

I doubt that any of them will offer such support but two people recently shared their struggles with hiring a lawyer in Canada. Since you're in Nigeria, you're better off consulting someone here.

It's even better if you can do it yourself.
