I read here that you are going to MUN. Criminology in MUN is a certificate program offers in undergraduate school. The course is 21 credit hrs which is not up to 2 semesters. The fess is 20k. Please correct me if i am wrong

I think you should have gone for something like a career program instead of UG

Yes dear, although you are wrong in some places. My fees is 11k which is what is on my LOA not 20k. I think 20k is for UG taking effect from Fall… Mine is Spring… plus the deposit has been made so you can calculate only a year fee. Plus it’s not Certificate program… I’m a transfer student. I have just 2years courses to complete. All these were clearly stated too. Plus with my previous study plus work experience… i went for the best option because that’s my career path

Maybe you should have someone help you to review the whole thing again. Some times, we think we can do things without help whereas we what we need is help not our strength

I wish you the very best

Hello everyone.

I have a Q Life Lagos medical appointment for October 12th. I need to do it earlier. I am not sure, but if it is possible, I would like to swap with someone with an earlier date. I just got admission for January and I'm a bit behind schedule. Thank you.

1. You have no choice than to defer, preferably to Fall (Sept) 2023 - This gives you more time for your application to be processed.
2. If your status as a divorcee was documented, then you have to provide the documents otherwise you might be asked to get consent letter from the father of your daughter.
3. You can work around this if you have saved all your funds by the time you are printing your statement, however, to prove, you have to state what you do for a living and the reason why you were changing to USD- obvious reason will be to keep its value over time.

When you say documented do you mean in the court legally ie if I have the court verdict to prove that I have custody of my daughter

Even as a divorcee, if they have shared custody… she will need his consent still. Except she has sole custody of the child, then she will show the notarized document

Hello Lamgrac,
Please how did you sort out your IBAN stuff? I'm trying to fill my form A and I'm stuck.
I also got admission to Centennial college for May 2023 and I was wondering if we could chat privately regarding how you went about your process. I sent you a chat email, kindly accept

Thank you. Now that I've done my medicals, I've been sending loads of email to them because it seems like either way it won't change their final verdict although I've been apologizing to the Visa officer for the numerous emails Incase he's in a foul mood. Still have more scheduled email loading. They must know who I be??

Nawa for una o lmao.

If she no write she get 15m balance with property worth over 180m , you won’t write it’s because of that she’s being pompous

I know we are all human and everyone is anticipating What went wrong in her application.
However, it is “her application “ . You can’t force a reason out of her.
Give people time.
Do you think it’s easy giving advice and helping other people when at the end of the day, they refused your application?
Do you know how traumatizing it can be ?

Please give people time to get themselves together.
It’s not a PPR new ma that we can start asking people to drop their timeline .

If she wants to share, fine! If she doesn’t want to , it’s still fine abeg.

bepositive11:
I am honestly disgusted by your attitude. Go and read my comment again and see whether it warranted such a disgusting response. Is it because of your bank balance and properties that you have such an ugly attitude?

Do you think having the properties and bank balance you have is enough to convince the visa officer that you will return and that you're eligible for a study permit? FYI, your POF can be a double edged sword. And there are many other factors that they consider.

I'm sure you wrote your SOP and sponsorship letter with that same attitude. Keep feeling entitled. Nonsense!

Don’t give up, the pressure on visa officers right now will allow them refuse applications that ought to be approved. As you said wait for your notes, settle down and decide what you want but don’t quit. You wanted this and you wished for it so don’t quit.

Did you lie in your application? Or have you ever been denied a visa before?

Look at your application again , correct your mistakes if you already know them and refire.

IRCC don give me breakfast this morning
Reasons:
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• I am not satisfied that you have truthfully answered all questions asked of you.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/ section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

olokings:
Hello NL Fam,

so just putting this out there. When applying for study visa with the IRCC, at the bearest minimum the following questions MUST be answered

Why study in Canada?
why not study in Nigeria
What are your educational goals?
what will be the impact & value of the program you are going for study in your business / employment / future endeavours when you return to Nigeria?
What are your home ties? - viewed from the lense of Family, Economy, Financial, career prospects, etc.
what are you job experience / skills gaps / career experience that warrants or establish the need for the study?
why the specific university / college chosen? - viewed from the lense of facilities, community, infrastructure, etc.
what is your travel history (if your have)? - mention all visa denials with reasons, give one liners to the why you made those travels to demonstrate that you are mostly intentional in all of your ventures.
what is your proof of means of financial support (POF)? - state amounts to show tuition + living expense (for full duration of program) + miscelleanous expense + buffer + flight ticket (return). mention any and all spikes in your transactions (lump sums), mention any loan obligations shown as deductions in your accounts (you can even use them as home ties)
FOR THOSE TRAVELLING WITH FAMILY -
why are you travelling with the family for the study period? - viewed from the lense of not wanting to break the family unit, you are the best person to take care of your dependents, you have never been apart from your family, you need the emotional support to excel academically, keeping the family as a single unit is required to maintain stability and manage the risk of seperation and estranged relationships etc.

Now most importantly, start with a good self-introduction, and DONT MISS EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO REITERATE WHY & WHEN YOU WILL RETURN TO NIGERIA TO DO SOMETHINGS YOU HAVE SPECULATED IN THE PARAGRAPH YOU ARE DISCUSSION AT THE MOMENT.

I particularly literally mentioned the date of & how i will return with my family as a closing of every paragraph in my 16 pages SOP. that will continually drum it in the VO's mind that this person is enthusiastic about coming back home to do this and that. However, you have to be strategic, dont just copy and paste "i am coming back home on this date to do this" else it will boomerang on you. rather let the statement be a closing to the reasons you argued in the paragraph. for example, during arguement of financial obligations as economic ties, you can state that returning home on XY date will enable you to resume loan obligations to your lender in order not to miss out on opportunity costs of ABC.... you see what i did there?

Finally, ensure that every argument you put forward in answering the questions above are BACKED UP WITH VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE, even if the VO may / may not verify them, just make sure you are not forging or misrepresenting anything, because only one misrepresentation found out will discredit everything else. Then, each and every one of us have unique profiles and situation, use that to customize your case representation and dont think that if you copy and paste someone else's profile who passed will assure your success.

Good luck to us all.

PS: I am NOT an SOP WRITTER NOR REVIEWER so i wont be able to start responding to DMs. drop your messages here let the gurus (they are plenty here and know themselves) respond to you.

ciao

This is very important information thank you and God bless you wishing you and everyone waiting luck.

I submitted my application same day and also did my biometric the same day as yours. My upfront medicals hasn't been updated.
Ojukwudfugitive:
Good morning, folks. I submitted my application on the 5th of August 2022, Biometrics done on the 9th of August and updated the same day. Up front medical done before I submitted my application and was updated to "passed" on the 25th of August.
Since then, no hearing from IRCC.
Is there any August applicant here who has received ppr? This wait is mentally distressing!

I agree it’s mentally draining. May God help everyone who needs strength this period. This is why I prefer the USA interview method, you can sell yourself to the officer and clear any ambiguities on the spot and observe the officers body language even the UK no get problem but Canada is a huge headache. People are going to canada because of the easy transition pathways to permanent residency and thereafter citizenship.
If you qualify for express entry please look into it.
Cheers!

Trust me that doesn't work it is better you start now and join the waiting crew the NSE route only applies towards the beginning of the year when the applications are very few not this peak when they are coming in hundred each new day by the time they want to even check your own 30days don pass and they are still prioritizing fall applications.
