Transmission oil is not something to be changed every month regardless of what you use the vehicle for.

The recommended transmission oil for any vehicle is expensive, so it's not business wise to do. You are calling for trouble if you change the fluid every month.

I wonder o! Haba! Engine oil sef, you no need to dey change every month unless you dey cover above 5k miles monthly.

The bad publicity Murano has till today is all this kind of advise. Go and be pouring ATF inside CVT.

Please I really needed you advice help me to check this car out 2011 Toyota Camry for Uber the V6 the person said the engine is okay 2.4million, is it okay for uber

If u r looking for a car for business avoid that V6 engine. U can still go for Camry Muscle that carries a 4 plug engine if that's ur car of choice.
Otherwise I would advise u buy a car with a smaller and more fuel efficient engine.

Your gearbox isn't about to give up.
If you scan your vehicle you would likely get a P0751 code....Shift Solenoid "A" Performance or Stuck off. Find a credible gear master, they should service the valve body and replace any bad sensor.
Your own part avoid entering flood, most likely your gear oil got mixed with water or dirt's. and make sure you change your gear oil every month if you do this hustle 24/7

Changing gear oil every month is a waste of Money. Check service Interval for gear oil.

How will someone be changing transmission fluid every month? That's trouble. Transmission is too sensitive for someone to be changing the fluid monthly. Transmission that can spend a whole life time and you won't need to change the fluid for once.

Glithronix you can see different guesses as to what maybe wrong with your Camry. Na so e dey be if you carry car go give Kaseem without scanning. No two situation is always the same because the cars are not used in the same condition even if in the same environment. Go and scan your car. It will guide you.

Ever since Kaseem spoilt my Dad's Nissan about 13 yrs ago, I've learnt that running a scan on a faulty vehicle is too important before taking steps. The manufacturers are not foolish.

There's a clause "change every month or once every 2 months" if you do this biz 24/7. With most drivers entering flood and the ilks it's most likely your transmission fluid gets contaminated, especially if your car is very low to the ground. That's the diagnosis to thats guys issue.

You actually like the car. You've been admiring it for a while now grin

It's your money go ahead and buy it as long as you can confirm it has no major issues that will make you over spend. I'll advise you get someone to scan it so you can be sure of that.

While it's not the best option for uber, it's not a bad choice either considering it's not on rental or hired purchase.

But bro, if this one na main hustle, go and buy civic or Corolla

I think the best advise is for him to stop entering water every now and then, because if you profer changing transmission fluid monthly as the solution, that transmission will not last. Some car manufacturers will even put it on the manual that you should not drive through water that is more than 1meter deep.

Remember Ghost1994's advise that once it's raining it's best to park somewhere and let the floods subside before you start driving again. Besides, if water is entering your transmission every now and then, there may already be a problem somewhere maybe a seal is broken.

The issue with Glithronix car may infact not be a gear problem but let's see the codes that come when he scans first.

@ the bolded; Show us your source abeg.

As for water entering d transmission; except the car seats in a flood that completely covers the tyres or hood for hours or days, transmission is air and water tight. So just driving through a typical Lagos water will not contaminate your transmission fluid.

Thank you sir! I can remember on this thread that Readadream drives through flood almost everyday at one point in time. His transmission was actually not contaminated and I don't think he changes transmission fluid monthly. He may not have ever changed his transmission fluid sef.

So that enter flood excuse holds no water. Transmission come be water gun?

I don't belief in religious tenets, as almost all human fault in life regardless of how religiosity they try to sound or act(that's why we have forgiveness). More like personal conviction, lack of opportunity and respect/regard for the husband/woman in question for me. I even feel like of opportunity is the reason grown up man mess around or try to take advantage of teens.

There's nothing that chains a man in the life than personal conviction.

V6 for this job should be a no no. On the business side of this if I have 2.4 million to spend on car. I'll rather gear up to make it 3m. Go to Abuja and find 2 good civic. One for use and one for hp/ rental. Either way if you are not lazy and all factors being equal. I should be saving nothing less than 250k every month after expenses.

The ride is dope from appearance tho.

Greetings to the bosses in the house.

Please I need to know what indriver means by "certificate of registration". I have uploaded my Lagos State Vehicle Number Allocation form but they keep rejecting it. Do I uploaded certificate of roadworthiness instead?

Your input is highly appreciated.
