Guys please help me, I'm planning to apply for a second degree in uni Manitoba but I have a third class degree and I'm skeptical about it because my GPA doesn't meet the requirements for the course on the school website they all have 2.0

I just want to know if anyone here has applied for second degree into uni Manitoba and was granted admission

It will be difficult to get admission with your grade especially in a University, why don't you try colleges who do not focus on grades so much?

I am married with 2 kids. Who is best to sponsor me? If my husband cannot nko? Abi I should build my account myself... ?

If I move like 20m to my account within 2 days... and reapply immediately, will it fly?

The company you mentioned is it owned by you? the truth is that company sponsorship requires a higher level of work to prove, cos they really do not have a grasp of how companies in Nigeria operate, here it is easy for a company to expend funds for any individual if the oga wants to but over there companies are really distinct and operate as separate entities.

If you are moving 20m to your account to reapply, you have to prove the source with documentary evidence that will show the funds are not demonstration purposes.

Above all, order for your GCMS notes before reapplying.

There must've been a reason why they advised you to apply alone. Everyone here gives advice with good intentions. Anyway, I'm sure it will end well for you.
yes I concur with your first sentence plus the advice was from my own family, its just the thought of waiting again for my family's application is what I'm scared of . Thanks once again, I just needed to blow off some steam.

Hello everyone.

I will need your advice before I take any decision. I got an admission for winter 2023. The admission notification came late and I've been trying to gather all the documents before I apply for study permit. I got a medical date for 12th October and I plan on applying via NSE immediately after. A friend advised that I pay the tuition via Flywire ASAP so that before the 12th, it would have reflected as Flywire can take some time.

Now the issue is, I have been told here that there is nothing like NSE for Nigerians currently due to the backlog, and I might not get a decision before January.

Is it advisable to go ahead and pay the tuition, apply for study permit and inform the school of visa delays?

Or not paying the tuition and defer the admission to Spring?

Thank you.

I can imagine. The wait for your family's application will be even more stressful. No problem, you can always blow off some steam here. Canada is seriously testing our patience and mental health.

I will suggest you defer to Spring, which will give enough time to pay your fees and apply for SP, and plan your travel when your apporval comes

Hello Bobomaigida,
Thanks for your response.

I summited documents to backup lump sum.

I submitted 4month statement.

Thanks

Bobomaigida:

Hi Whitenaira,

From the notes, there was a lump sum identified that, if you have not explained it with documentary evidence, you should do so, how many months statement did you submit ?

I have been a silent reader all along. I salute everyone educating us on the forum. weldone guys!

Please I am working out my application and wish to seek guidance.

I intend applying alone even though I am married with kids. I have just enough funds to cater for the duration of the program's Tuition and related fees, living expenses and transports which I assumed to be 25K CAD (being 10k/year living expense and 5k misc) for the 2 year programme. Though i have landed properties in good locations.

Now the issue is that I do not have more than 3k CAD buffer after these amounts in my account. Would the VO not consider the expense unrealistic given my financial status? I have an opportunity of getting a gift deed from my sibling who shares same surname with me to boost the buffer, but i am told it might be counter productive because i intend applying immediately, especially as I am self sponsored and have been working for the past 10 years and expectedly should be able to fund my programme comfortably if i intend coming back. My pension is good but wont count for POF because of study leave to strengthen my ties.

Spouse is fairly remunerated with enough income to sustain the family while away. Do you advise i use her as co-sponsor instead? even though i'm thinking it's best to leave her funds unencumbered to run the home.

Please what is the reasonable rate for conversion to use? Oanda or Official Rate??

Also, Is the 10K per year living expense inclusive of accommodation?

FYI,

Government of Canada announced the removal of all COVID-19 entry restrictions, as well as testing, quarantine, and isolation requirements for anyone entering Canada, effective October 1, 2022.

The removal of border measures has been facilitated by a number of factors, including modelling that indicates that Canada has largely passed the peak of the Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 fuelled wave, Canada’s high vaccination rates, lower hospitalization and death rates, as well as the availability and use of vaccine boosters (including new bivalent formulation), rapid tests, and treatments for COVID-19.

Effective October 1, 2022, all travellers, regardless of citizenship, will no longer have to:

submit public health information through the ArriveCAN app or website;
provide proof of vaccination;
undergo pre- or on-arrival testing;
carry out COVID-19-related quarantine or isolation;
monitor and report if they develop signs or symptoms of COVID-19 upon arriving to Canada.
Transport Canada is also removing existing travel requirements. As of October 1, 2022, travellers will no longer be required to:

undergo health checks for travel on air and rail; or
wear masks on planes and trains.

Hello Accessed,

Though am not an expert I wish to give a personal insight into your application plans.

*If you have your first and second tution fees, additional $10K living expenses and $5k extra, that will be a good one with the etra $3k, but if you only have those stated amounts without paying full tution or having extra funds to show that you are financially able to pay the second year fee, I will suggest you use your siblings as co-sponsor to boost your financial stand with the VO, otherwise, accept the gift deed, get an LOE in that regards stating the lump sum, your sibling can also show the transaction from his/er account with a suporting document to show the fund is legit with right intention.

* While pension does not count as proof of fund, you can also value the two lands to show as back up funds for ties and family at home, since your spouse can fund family with the enterprise, kindly get every possibly support you can to have excess of funds to cover for all your study, a year living expenses with a little extra.

* While no 2 application is the same, I will ask that you do your best without too much stress, package your documents and submit while you pray and hope for the best.

Success awaits you

Hi

I intend liquidating one of my crypto assets to use as POF. What I am worried about is if it will be regarded as a lump sum. Suppose it is, should I show evidence of liquidated crypto asset, or I should just use a gift deed of support by my dad or sibling. If a gift deed is used, will they require the bank statement of the person?

The first prerequisite to get into any med school in Canada is having a previous Bachelors degree. Most schools do not admit international students, and those who do have only about 1% quota for international students.
Yes, there's a quota system that prioritises students from the province where the school is located.

Summary: It is EXTREMELY difficult to get into a Canadian med school from outside Canada. If your friend doesn't have a degree already, please switch to another science program like Anatomy, etc. Upon completion, he/she can pursue med school.

Other prerequisites include: MCAT, CASPER, some specific courses, essays, etc. These vary from school to school.

Very detailed and educative thank you so much for this it almost the same advice @cooooooks gave me. Please recommend any school for Anatomy i could refer her to thank you for your help.

From the little i know, you can use it but should make sure to use the description ‘’ sale of prosperity’’ while your credited then explain it in your SOP. As per to show evidence of liquidated crypto asset i really don’t know maybe someone more enlightened will answer but I think it might be okay.
2. Yes you will have to get the persons bank statement.
CAC registration documents, tax payment slips and sponsorship letter explaining to the VO.

I hope this helps you. Good luck.
