Good day everyone. I'll try to update this thread as we progress on the farm. A passionate journey for me as i embark on livestock farming, mainly goats and some cows.
As you can see, we've started some work.

This was my second visit to the land. Its located at ogbondoroko, kwara state.

Currently this is how it looks.
Major works are done. Borehole has been drilled for water supply. What's left are minor changes and security housing

How many acres/plots is it?

2 acres of farmland, though we took out 4 plots for the fencing. Fencing the 2 acres is quite expensive

The cows will be coming in before next week. We put the goats on hold for now because of the rain.

The cows will be coming in before next week. We put the goats on hold for now because of the rain.

Don't forget to order dry cassava peels from me to feed your cows. Dry season is almost here and you can't bank on grasses this time.

Good one, how much does d fencing for 4plots cost,hope you have armed security & solar cctv mounted?
Does those dwarf cows mature quickly? How much is market size compare to Fulani type?

Quick update.
Its been 6 months since we started this journey. We started with about 18 goats(13 does and 5 bucks).
We've had 4 deaths so far, 3 were due to administering fake PPR vaccine by a fake vet but thats behind us now.
We have 4 kids now with 5 more about to kid and the goats are doing quite well
