The problem is you are just short sighted you don't look at the long-run scenario. I know many people that are working and with time they climb up to the top hierarchy and so their salary increased.

Muhamdson, Dru and so many others cannot say the same about Ehailing

The main issue with this hustle and it’s effects on your vehicle should be mainly the depreciation of your suspension components due to the terrible road conditions in the country.

Oyibo use their vehicles for taxi and put roughly 30-40k miles on their odometers a month and still sell such vehicles to us here as tokumbos. It all boils down to their maintenance culture. Using original parts and timely services due to their smog checks and such.

I’ve seen a 2018 Toyota Camry with 610k miles that was used as a taxi in usa still going strong and everything sound here in Nigeria before and there are thousands of such examples in the dealer parking lots here in this country waiting for unsuspecting buyers all because they have dubiously rolled back it’s mileage. In fact, apart from rust and accidents their taxis last a long time on the road. Even their rentals are the same story.

Take care of your vehicle and it will work well for you . . . Period.

Just keep money for suspension work and resprays after okada scratching and bashing grin

Some of the life experiences are shared so that we can re-evaluate ourselves.. You've been saying its not sustainable and you're in it for over 5 years, paying rent, maybe kids sch fees, feeding, etc what other SUSTAINABILITY do you seek? You should rather say you WANT MORE, and that is okay. Some people just want to feed, pay rent, pay bills, pay sch fees maybe for a child or two and go to sleep, they are fine. They dont want to go to Cubana. Ehailing can moderately give that, whether you be rental/owner. There are challenges of course, but you will overcome only if you want to.. Go to twitter, just put it there that you want to buy a car and give out for Ehailing, 99% will advice you AGAINST it. They will tell you drivers will ruin you, they dont remit etc.... And who are those drivers? YOU!! An average nig have a very negative attitude towards others peoples investments, they dont care, then turn around to tell you its not sustainable...

I agree with you. Our roads are just too bad and this work, you can hardly escape not going to some place.

We also don't have full access to original OEM parts, there's too many china knockoff parts in circulation. Toks parts are 50/50 or a gamble you are more likely to be on the loosing side.

Apt! See that kazeem part ehn, na them do pass grin

You have to stay with them all through the process of repair, if not na Oyo. About two weeks ago I wanted to change my rear brake pads, I was reluctant to drive in traffic to get to my sure mechanic place so I decided to try this guy in my estate, dropped the car with him and walked to the salon.

He had finished by the time I got back, following day I began to hear "kpaparan kparan" from the back. I knew something was off. Later in the day I inspected the brakes properly, that's when I noticed that the mechanic didn't put the pin that's supposed to hold the brake pads in place. The pads were already out of the calipers, the only thing holding them from falling off is the rim.

I don laugh tire. This guy is so far from reality and is living in dreamland.

You mean someone will work in the office from 7am to 5pm, he will still drive between 5 and 9pm and make a net of 10k in that time frame. grin grin. He will also do it consistently for 30 days a month. Hahahaha

Let's leave that one first. Someone drives from 5am to 10pm (17 hours) and makes 30k net according to you but someone who drives 4 hours will between 5 and 9pm will make 10k net. You need to collect your change from your maths teacher.

You say the salary earner can get laid off at any time, very true but what happens if the salary earner and bolt driver fall sick. Most standard organizations will continue to pay his salary for 6 months at least while the bolt driver will be left to his own fate.

I also like how you mentioned that most people start from low paying jobs but conveniently forgot to mention that most drivers also don't sart out with their own vehicles.

I'm really curious though, ehaling is this sweet and can give you a savings of 500k monthly. Why have you not resigned your job to drive on ehaling grin

Bro leave that guy , he doesn’t have any experience of ehailing, he’s just talking based on assumptions and dashboards posting.
He’s analyzing what is being posted here but doesn’t know what it takes to get it.
Doesn’t know that driving in Lagos is different from any other state in Nigeria.

Repairs and Maintainance is part of the Hussle...if u use ur monthly earnings on repair d next month, so be it. It's part of the risk of the job.

Yes that’s what they call us ordinary driver or are you my driver ?

So let me tell you what I mean be ordinary bolt driver like normal lazy driver or ant driver not the likes of donfortune48 (yahoo bolt driver)
Gentlelife50 (big man driving bolt as fun)
Tojahh (lounging on the island not driving but won’t let us rest )
I can go on & on
Fuckeveryday who was CheerfulGiver mentee (telegram group ) but drove for 1 week and jappa.
Even pearlGabrinchiii who set out competition but didn’t drive for two consecutive weeks and still claim to be cashing out week in week out
Or Felicity001 that is in his plantain farm claiming to be driving Benz.

Ordinary full time bolt driver ( with no side hustle ) can’t buy ticket to Dubai as we speak no cap. Inflation is real
