DefyTheOdds:
Is it possible to change course in the same DLI after PPR but before going to Canada

My brother just got approved but it's too late to join the semester and the course doesn’t have a January start date
No if he does he will have to submit again he just needs to wait another year he can find something beneficial for the time. Maybe learn coding if he is going into IT.

Edit: Finally, I started the next page. grin grin grin cool

Did your brother submit his Biometrics? All the main details required for a GCMS notes request are in the Biometrics collection letter.

Yes he submitted is gcms and trying to order the gcms note but his mastercard debit card is bin declining.

It was a debt to the crown. I have paid it myself without the agent though. God will surely punish the agent that got me to this point. I paid the first PFL one through the agent. The second one, I paid it myself on December 31 till now no feedback on my application.
I am even trying to move on to the UK. But I don't know if that will affect my UK visa application. I don't know if I should withdraw the canada application altogether pr I should leave it pending. What was your own experience and how did it get resolved?

Permit me caution you to kindly choose your words wisely when responding/talking to people. You may have a good case but ruin it with wrong use of words. Yes it’s a faceless forum but we don’t know who is on the other end of the keyboard, main reason we ought to talk to people respectfully and politely. I’m not saying this only because of this response but what I’ve observed/noticed over time. I may not be talking all the time but I’m very observant.
I stand to be corrected if I’m wrong.
This is very true I find it very irritating when people, in the name of social media, talk to people anyhow. Remember life is a bitch and whatever you do always has its consequences even if it is as small as hitting your big toe. Forget the fact that we are faceless we still have emotions so please learn to filter your words because you are looking at your phone doesn't mean you can talk however you want.
Bepositive11 is actually a very blunt person from what I have observed about him/her and I actually like people who don't beat around the bush and go straight to the point but sometimes we should learn to know when to be blunt and when to sugarcoat the lady was asking a question at this point she is in a helpless state probably relying solely on the reply from people of this group that being said your choice of words were very inappropriate. Thank you and God bless.
Remember respect is reciprocal.

If you have money to start the UK Visa process it will not affect your Canadian application. If a decision is made on your Canada application, all you have to do is let the UK government know with proof that you already started your UK Visa process before the decision that way they will understand you were not trying to hide and thing from them.

seems like this canada study visa is easy compared to dutchland.

please Gurus i’m a newbie on this thread tho i’ve read some of the previous thread regarding canada travel, i need some clarification to satisfy my curiosity.

i intend to apply for fall admission 2023, what’s the possibility of applying for an undergraduate study in computer science or related field with my ND cert in civil engineering? and also i’m into frontend development, will this act as an advantage on my SOP?

@Gores,
What determines how earlier a second time applicant is attended by the IRCC depends on the following:

1.) Reason(s) for refusal.....when it's multiple reasons it tends to take more time than a single reason.

2.) How far the IRCC team went about the general assessment of your application.when applicant's documents fail to align with their (IRCC) indices at the preliminary stages and it was refused, it will take IRCC more time to process same Application when represented for the 2nd time and vice versa

I hope this helps.

Gores:

How come the second application was fast is it because it’s Znd application. August 5th is still waiting without eligibility started sef . No update only biometrics shows completed. Did you use the new portal or old portal.

It seems the old portal is faster can people who got ppr share which portal they use on their timeline
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by DefyTheOdds: 3:30pm On Oct 06, 2022
so it doesn't apply to only changing DLI?

IRCC website only had information about if you change DLI and not if you change program so I was confused

@ MyVc,

Memorial University and every other Institution have their requirements. While some waive certain requirements, others do not.

I will STRONGLY advise you check up on their website and possibly initiate conversation (via email) with the school ASAP!!!!

MyVc:

Please, can one apply for M.Sc Data Science at Memorial University Newfoundland, Canada without having IELTS?

Thanks.

@adefunkeadelaku,

You do not need to fret, it's because yours have not been updated. You MAY have to send them copy of your Medical sheet through a Webform and as well via emails (Nairobi,London,Lagos and Abuja).

Some of the applicants are having same issue which could be due to backlogs and queues.

I hope this helps.

Hello gurus, I applied for study visa and visitor visa for my son on Sept 2 2022, my sons upfront medical got updated next day, while mine says no medical is needed, my biometric also updated, but I checked exactly a month after and nothing changed, is there a need to fret? Do I need to start sending mails to VO?background a d eligibility hasn't started, am a bit worried
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Joedave25: 3:47pm On Oct 06, 2022
@ Ibom2345,

You need to go through your letter of admission properly to know if it's conditional (you need to make some deposit to secure the offer of admission or not)

If your offer of admission is tied to making a COMPULSORY DEPOSIT of certain minimum amount, it means you would need to comply else you may eventually loose the admission.

I hope this helps.

Ibom2345:
Good afternoon house,

I finally got my admission to Seneca college for winter 2023 today and the deposit amount is a bit higher than expected plus other circumstances in place, please is it possible to defer it to September 2023 without making any payment would the admission still be valid.

Thanks.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Tgbengus151(m): 4:07pm On Oct 06, 2022
That is not true because i remember i deferred my admission when i didn't have any ongoing visa application.

MarryannZa:
The brother used an agent for the admission no he is been told by the agent that he can not defer the admission until he applies for study permit cos he needs a proof of the application to defer.
Pls did you apply for the sturdy permit before the admission was deferred
