It's very easy to fake being rich, most so called successful trader don't even trade, they just sell course.

If I ever go back to trading that's what I'll do, sell course of $350, use the money to brag as forex earnings, rinse and repeat.

As for prop, no firm will give you that money, you a Nigerian, a third world country.

The month is almost done.
Prepping myself for some swings for next month.

and if AU shows a bullish reversal, I'll buy up till .69***.

The criterion to go long on AU was if it traded and closed above .65310 on H4. It has since failed to do that. One loss from one attempt to buy after price traded above the determined price and sold far into the range again.

I made over 1000usd yesterday trading Audusd, I just withdrew 300usd this morning,,,,,.I greet my neighbor this morning,,,, if only he knew I just made NGN700k yesterday night,,,,, Forex is crazy man,, and I love I with my whole strength becos of the unbelievable money I make from it....

if only you know how many losses I've taken to get to this level I almost gave up,,,,and I still lose here and there,, but bottom line, make sure when you win you win big, and lose you lose small

keep on thinking about African people failures and where the money goes ehnnn,, make I cashout in peace enjoy my life codedly
@Emmizay12, how's it going?
You spoke some home truth there as a retail trader.

I like the fact that you emphasized your losses over the years to let the newbies and even existing traders know that they will lose their shirts if they refuse to pay the full price of learning to earn! Trading is a continuous educational journey.

Great results you got here... 1000 USD in one day!

I'm curious to know what trading strategy you use, the indicator
set-ups, and the broker you use. It seems you traded the result you got above off the Aud/Usd 1Hour timeframe and used stochastics?

Second, have you ever used the alligator indie? If you haven't, then throw it in the mix.

All the best.

forget about strategy.. if possible, train your mind to trade like an emotionless robot.
learn to wait, wait and wait before you pounce.
be an ultra disciplined trader with a sound money management..
be more concerned about the amount you are willing to lose, rather than the amount you will win.
learn from your mistakes.. and never stop learning..

Wow you guessed correctly, I basically can't do without my stochastic RSI, 200Ema and ATR ,,,

just take this 3 indicators and blend it with a sound understanding of Market structure.....

1H is my main timeframe, 200ema gives me trend direction, I go to the 5min to place my trades on the pullback of the trend on the 1Hr, stochastic RSI gives me alerts, ATR for stoploss

All you need do is turn on your laptop, set your tradingview alerts, wait for your entry and cashout your profits... Wash, rinse, repeat

I trade with infinox occasionally when I want my money wired in USD to avoid overspending, but they've got horrible spreads with an annoying account officer that calls me every day ...

My go-to broker is deriv,, I feel they basically don't have spreads on all their Forex pairs both major and minor,,,, only in their basket indices which is the only synthetics I trade have I seen slightly wide spreads,,, maybe because the basket indices are exactly identical to the real Forex market

My strategy is explained in depth in this book

Wish you goodluck bro, keep milking the markets till death do you part

As human we just make a plan, but the reality depends upon the God. In trading, maybe we expect the price will rise after buy and likewise when sell, we expected the price drop, sometimes the fact is different. It will depends with minds to accept it.

Oil price yesterday still tries to continue rise, now price 87.94 expected the price reach 90. OPEC + eventually decided to cut oil production 2 millions barel per day, there are various opinion to read the impact.

50-50 chance that GBPUSD might dump. let's see what happens. NFA.. Canada pmi news will move the market and it will be released by 3pm.

After GBPUSD dumped ydae, i think buyers may step in to support it before London session opens. Using tight stop of 30-50 pips from entry on this one. Let's see what happens. NFA.

Your feedback is filled with insights and clarity! I like the fact that you keep it simple with the indies not cluttering your charts, and thanks for the book recommendation. I'll read it up because continuous education is the key to success in the markets and in life.

I've been a veteran member of NL since 2005 with my older moniker, and I'm still here because NL is good for data mining and research.
I don't usually visit this thread and the previous ones, but what made me to post here for the first time this year is the back-and-forth convos on the merits and demerits of trading. The dudes who were saying negatives about trading missed the whole point! You can't become a great and intuitive pilot who is licensed to fly a particular model of aircraft if you don't fly a required number of hours... and go for flight simulations. What makes these folks who say trading is a scam created by the Oyinbos (White folks) think that they can succeed in the markets without doing the time? Let them get into a car, an aircraft, or whatever, without the knowledge of how to navigate, and see if they'll not crash badly.

In the over 17 years that I've had contact with the financial markets, I've used Ichimoku, pivot points,
ADX among several indicators and strategies, and got burned seriously back in the day from losses and have learned to keep it simple! Losses shake your entire being, and humble you to see clearly. If there is no price action strength in the markets as well... Stay out!

Then always move your stop losses to break-even when in significant profit to keep you calm as originally stated by Mark Douglas in his iconic book, "Trading in the Zone."

"May the force of evolution be with you." Happy trading for life.smiley

Cheers.

lol..6 months ago, I made the difficult decision to stop trading Xau.. and it has been the best decision I ever made so far..
I just couldn't deal with something that always tries to turn me into liquidity.

The problem may not be the instrument traded but rather lotsize used(greed) and attitude to trading as well as lack of trading experience.

Whether you call forex a scam, it doesn't change the fact that people pay bills from it.

Boss, try using daily/4h ATR as your stop loss on XAU if you ever decide to return trading it. So far as your entry is half decent, you won't get stopped out with daily/4H ATR as your stop loss.

No matter what you use and how you trade, you will still have a losing trade, so why complicate things, all in a bid to avoid loss
