That is why I dey vex with this ASUU. They are demanding for 8month salary which they never worked for. They don't understand Nigeria economic reality. They are just mainly fighting for their pockets not for students. They ought to have called off the strike after 3months of the strike.

Lmao!

A bunch of incompetent, crass and corrupt politicians are engaging a body of determined Academics drawn from all career fields, in a legal battle. More like a cautionary tale of a chicken challenging a cheetah to a race.

These politicians earmark humongous sums to themselves as salaries and undeserved emoluments on a monthly basis. They budget unimaginable sums to fix their working environments (as was the case when billions were budgeted to replace the roof of the National Assembly complex, as if they intended to roof an Olympic stadium), buy themselves the latest and most classy vehicles running into hundreds of millions of dollars, turn around to under-fund our educational sector and daft youths are here singing their praises.

I am 100% in support of ASUU. It's about time we got it right with education, at the very least.
.

All these you said up there, why should the poor man’s child in the university suffer for it for 8 months?

Did u not see the rich men’s children including the president’s daughter in law graduating In London?

For a result oriented strike, ASUU should have picked few pressing needs like increased funding of universities and better welfare for staff to strike. Not coming with a long list of unrealistic demands running into trillions. Education is not the only sector that needs attention, by the way, when will they address the quality of teaching so that graduates will no longer be termed half baked.

You are very correct sir!
Please tell them also that no one should ask for good roads, or stable electricity or even job creation. Those things "are not easy". If they were easy, past administrations that value them would have done them. If you as a Nigerian is not satisfied, renounce your citizenship.
Why not? ASUU has the right to ask whatever they want but then the government has the right to do what it has power to do.
We have the right to ask for amenities but the government has the right to do what it can do. We cannot say because the government does not build roads then we'll not travel again. Since we have been asking for road is it all the roads that have been built.

Fg still needs to settle with ASUU whether they like it or not. ASUU can simply call off the strike so the court doesn’t hold them in contempt only to continue a day or a week after suspending the strike should Fg not settle with them and things will be right where they left off.
they have lost fg respect. Just watch, before next month ASUU membership will be horribly depleted with the registration of other associations in the system. Na game of chess don start so.

No court will justify ASUU. What it is doing now is just a waste of time and resource. If they are not satisfied they should resign. They have taken the matter too far. If what they are asking is easy to be done the past administrations that value education would have granted them their request.

This Buhari's APC government places minimum priority on Education. That's why they are toying with the future of our kids.
&none of our leader's kids is in our public universities.
Why are you blaming Buhari? Buhari said he could not sign agreement he would not be able to implement. You don’t even talk about the 419 government that promised what they cannot do in 2009.

ASUU must respect the Federal Court of Appeal. ASUU should now call off their industrial action and return to work. The battle is now before the law Courts. ASUU should allow their lawyers to handle their matter. ASUU can add as many formidable lawyers as they want to work with the indefatigable Falana. However, ASUU must return to work and do their fighting in the Court of Law. Not obeying an Order of a Court of competent jurisdiction is contempt of Court. As very well educated gentlemen and ladies of our tertiary institutions, ASUU must show good example to their students by demonstrating maturity and orderly conduct. Obey the Order of the Court. Return to the classroom. Facilitate your lawyers to prepare your case in a way that is as pungent and persuasive as possible. Let the Court decide. Nigeria is a country of laws.

Under PDP ASUU went on strike more than 7 time.

The agreement was led to the present strike was signed by PDP when they were in power.

Strike is not new to your Lp candidate, Peter Obi. Under his eye, MEDICAL doctors in Anambra went on 13 months strike when he was a Gov

Under your Obi, Anambra STATE university LECTURERS wERE on 7 months strike.

Now, look at where they are.

They have even lost the public sympathy they were banking on.

I understand you at the same time I am not praising the stupid government we have at all levels. If I say all is well, I am deceiving myself. My stand is that ASUU has taken it too far. They claim they are fighting for Nigerian students but to me it's not like that. Which sector in this country is well financed by the government? None. So whatever the government give, they should take it and move on
