That is a massive loss but well the governor is not interested because he stays in a GRA...

Some People's life time Struggles.
Some killed to even acquire these properties too.

This is sad. I hope those budgetary allocations we have had over the years for situations like this can now be put to use if it hasn't been looted

My heart goes out to the affected people. If not that Nigeria is a failed nation, government will help them out as I know that lost and damaged properties will require a lot of money to fix up.
My happiness is that I haven't heard of any casualty

He's also chasing the only visible development, Dangote Cement up and down.

The flood is usually pretold before it happens. I've heard many agencies call for the Dams to be worked on, drainages cleared in that area and all to mitigate the flood..it feels like it's never done.
I can't forget the first time it escalated in 2012.
I was travelling as a corper from Benin to Jigawa.
That road was unplyable. The rivers had over flowed their bank, farms produce unharvestable, houses submerged, communities made homeless. Traffic we met at Lokoja was 2 weeks old. We had to use a crane to cross our bus tru the nearby River. The scariest experience of my life. One crane carried 2 buses loaded with 15 passengers and 1 small car. 15k per vehicle to cross us.
My heart sank over an over in this 10 mins of one of the riskiest moves of my life. Like what if the crane just bends?, We'd just sink.

This is just flood o, imagine if those natural disasters hitting those Asians, Americans, and European countries come reach Africa. That's na big wahala go dey bdat o.

Na cruise and enjoyment government them for Africa just dey. The wife of the governor of this same State was busy catching cruise the other day in a government branded environment and someone call it tension.
Make una come see tension now......

And the state get Governor he can't come up with something and take the proposal to FG if he can't do it alone or he should start first if is something realistic he fit make the FG assist him....

All this people are just clueless no vision nothing nothing something keeps happening every year and for once dey can't find countries dey can study that has similar issues and don solve dere own to make use of dere techniques....

instead na Dangote he dey fight up nd down....

Looking at the aerial view of the affected areas, it appears like there used to be a river there before houses was built on its channel.

Anyway, it's sad that such an issues wasn't forestall before it got to this level.
