Still isn't late to get myself here.
My story is horrible, yes horrible. The only little knowledge I acquired was YouTube knowledge. I visits BUK and DAnfodio University fishery departments. I went ahead to stock 20,000 juveniles, and start feeding with 2mm aller aqua feeds. First two weeks I lost more than half of the 20k. I didn't relax I bought another 20k and restock. The second stock I lost around 6000 fish. At that time my fist stock were at post juvenile I started feeding with 3mm, yes aller aqua.
I wake up one day and get a mortalities what remain from the second stock was only 7,800. You knew what, I go ahead and buy 45k fingerlings and 15k juveniles and restock. Still cruising.
I learn a bitter way. Pond preparations is very vital, constant water change is superb. I'm here to learn more. I've about 80k in my stock now.

Water source is from my well which I pump to overhead tank and use in my home too, it wasnt like this until like 4 days ago, I started keeping the fish since march.

I feed morning and night with Sigma Top Feed. I attached a picture of the feed

Can you be able to get another pond and separate them , their waste is getting much as they are getting bigger in this pond that you are using

Feed once a day, mornings preferably for a week and monitor the situation. Ensure no one else throws feed into the pond in your absence.

80 fish in a 9*4*(3/4) pond is adequate density. No need separating the stock.

If you stocked around March 2022, your fish should be 6months with you now. Ensure your water level is not below 2ft height (Ensure your tarpaulin pond is durable enough to bear the pressure).Catfish can survive in dirty looking water but it doesn't mean you shouldn't give them clean water if you can

Additionally, at this age your fish can comfortably be sustained with once-a-day feeding

I doubled the water volume and reduced feeding to once a day and the water quality improved, however I still drain and provide clean water every two days as the water gets dirty within 2days. 1. Ensure proper sorting in your pond, if it is not an earthen pond. Smaller fish cannot feed at the same place with bigger fish if you do not sort properly. With smaller mouths, they cannot take feed larger than their mouths.

2. Ensure that you get the correct size of feed for your fish, looking at the ages, weight, etc.

3. Ensure that the pond is very clean. Polluted water puts fish away from feeding. Cleaner ponds, healthier fish. Uneaten feed makes the pond dirty too.

4. Spot feeding helps you control feed. Once they pick their feed and are satisfied, they swim away happily. Therefore there'll be no need to throw feed around the pond, which is waste.

Deeper water, bigger fish. Fish have more room to swim and exercise.

Cleaner water, healthier fish.
