Good day colleagues, pls I need your advice on this. My cousin had admission at centennial College earlier this year. He was required to make fee deposit somewhere June but he couldn't make it due to lack of funds. He applied for the study permit with was approved.
A few days After getting his passport, he received a letter from centennial college that his admission has been revoked.
Now our challenge is:
1. Do we need to inform IRCC about this recent change, (the fear is maybe his visa too can be revoked if we do)
2. He also applied for a new school and had been offered admission. Can he bring that to Canada since is a different school with a different DLI .
With these questions lingering in our minds, we are not sure if he can run into any immigration issues. Please let me know your thoughts on that.
A new DLI means a new study permit application. Has he tried contacting the school? If yes, can't he defer or apply for winter for the SAME COURSE.

Yahwehsdota:
I'm back with more details following our PPR.

I actually wrote this testimony on the day we submitted our application trusting God in advance that He will grant my family of 5 visa's and He did. I'm testifying on behalf of my husband since I'm the one that basically got all the information here on his behalf. Ours was an imperfect application with sponsor, gift deed and other inadequacies but God came through for us. God was with us from the very beginning and even the choice of school for my husband came from Him. I heard clearly in my spirit "don't be afraid, I'll help you (Isaiah 41:10)this visa is a done deal" and I held unto God's word in the midst of challenges. We submitted our application in July for resumption in September and I told God to please make it happen fast cos He promised early help in His word (Ps 46) and He came through for us.

I want to specially thank my Father in heaven, my Savior, Redeemer, King, Deliverer, Helper for bringing this to come to pass indeed we are the one's that God showed mercy and we have returned with our headstones of grace and dances of celebration!!

I also want to thank all nairalanders for their contributions and tips, not forgetting the gurus and all those who were always ready to answer questions regardless of how silly they were. You guys are the real MVPS. All tips for this application were gotten from nairaland. I prayed a lot, joined nsppd prayers, fasted 3ce a week and declared the word of God personalizing it over our application using the following scriptures: Gen 39:21, 2cor 1:20, prov 21:1, Ps 102:13, John 14:14, Ps 34:4-5 but it wasn't about my prayer, God showed me mercy and His grace qualified us.

We are first time applicants and these are the documents we submitted for my husband's application (student PhD) , SOWP for me and Study Permit/visit visa for 3 kids

For my husband's SOP, he wrote on the importance of the course to his career, its benefit to his place of work, personal business, community and Nigeria as a whole, he wrote on his experiences and educational background and linked all to the proposed program. He broke down POF in a tabular form for clarity purpose.
Also, he gave them strong reasons why he needs to go with his kids and wife. He also dealt extensively on Home Ties which are parents, siblings, commitment in church, charitable organizations, professional associations, landed properties, personal business and included available pictures to prove.

God bless you all and for all those waiting keep trusting God and believing, you are next in Jesus mighty name .

Keep in mind that you'll have to detail the sources of those funds. IRCC will also consider your employment history and your future career prospects and salary potential in Nigeria after you graduate.

Thank you for this.

First I work in a financial institution though pay is quite low. Less than 200k monthly approximately 170k

I have over 6years experience in financial institution prior to the 200k job. Those were a little below 100k

Career prospect will be finance related.

What do you think about this? What's your advice?

@every other person please kindly attempt to help decipher this my situation.

I have some savings but u already know how it is, I cannot sponsor myself with that at all.

Should this person put I'm those money yo my account and I claim self sponsor or what do you think?

I just need advice on how to go about this.

Thanks everybody. Treat me as a novice and guide me accordingly.

That's around 6.3k CAD per year. Since your salary doubled after 6 years of experience, you can argue that your salary will double again after earning your degree or certificate from Canada. Or something like that.

You can do some research first to know what salary you can expect after a promotion or at a higher position in finance.

You can apply with yourself and your parents as sponsors, while your friend helps with funding in the shadows.

Wait for others to share their opinions.

Hello guys,
Congratulations to everyone who has gotten his or her PPR and those expecting their good news, I say celebrate already for you are winning this.

I have questions to ask please guys pardon me for I am a novice. I have read most of the pages though not all.

1. I currently do not have enough money to sponsor my self and I have someone who could sponsor me but we are not in anyway related. My program will be September 2023, Since I haven't started application yet. Do u think he should be depositing let's say 500k naira monthly from now to build the account to maybe February? OR

2. Should he put a lumpsum now and start putting some regular amount monthly since by March if I want to submit application the lumpsum won't reflect.

3. Should he send the money to my family member say Dad or Mum then they will send it to me with affidavit of deed? Will they be required to submit their statement of account?

This person is willing to sponsor me but we are not related in anyway but a good friend.

How do u go about this please?

I need your advice Guys.

1. This will be difficult to explain, since you are not working for him.
2. If he can give you the full amount in your account better, the funds can be in your from now till you are ready to submit to your app.
3. Sending the funds to your Dad is also good, but better if it is sent quickly and the funds sent to you subsequently.

on a lighter note, that your friend is good, you do not see people like that these days.

1. I will advise that he contacts Centennial and discuss with them. The admission might be reinstated or deferred till a subsequent term.

2. He can't bring that to Canada. He will need to reapply for a new study permit if Centennial doesn't work.

Give the selfless people the appreciation they deserve. Not hailing those agents here. And calling them gurus. Those agents are here to make money

So I understand your displeasure with deceiving ignorant and new visitors with fake PPR timelines. I think it is really dishonest.

But I don't see anything wrong with monetizing your knowledge and skills.

F.D I have been a part of this community since 2016 and learnt a ton of things because I dedicated time and resources to read through from the beginning of the Canadian Student visa thread. And all the numbers of applications I have worked on turned out successful- all thanks to this group and personal efforts.

So don't expect that everyone will give services free.

Another FD, I am researching the GCMS note third-party market, and if I find a niche-based need for applicants that I am interviewing, I will go into the business, and it will not be free! And I will seek clients from here
