Please my application is over 20days... how does the student direct stream work again? I thought I was supposed to get an email by now.
Hi oscalowi,

Do you mean NSE or you're applying from one of the seven countries where SDS is functional?

Exactly that is my point. The review I have been seeing on nairaland about the gcms note is that is takes along time. Even charitole she just received her gcms notes since August that she applied. It is not even detailed. Please who can recommend a good website to me concerning the gcms notes

Yea, GCMS notes have been taking time lately. I applied for mine on June 14th and got the notes on September 28 (106 days). My notes seems to have been generated on August 8th but was sent on September 28th. I used JustForCanada and yes, a friend who used them last year, got his notes in 45 days. It seems IRCC have been having backlogs of GCMS application since June (JustForCanada told me that in one of their responses to my mail). After 45 days of applying for my notes, I started bombarding JustForCanada with mails every week. So, if your GCMS notes is taking long, know that you are not alone.

Meanwhile, the assessment on my notes says "Recommend Interview". I applied for my SP on March 9th. The wait is really painful and frustrating...sad I have deferred to January start....hopefully I get a final decision before then.

I sent mails to MPs in Toronto and Ontario, but all said they can't help cause I am not in Canada. Please, does anyone know an MP in Ontario that helps? I will really appreciate.

At some point and even now, I have to advice myself to take my mind off this delay stuff and focus on my life.

Hi Oscalowi,

Very good then. Please note a disparity exist between SDS and NSE. You shouldn't use them interchangeably to avoid confusion, okay?

Back to your question, the NSE doesn't always work as initially projected. It appears IRCC's backlog is practically unmanageable, even with the NSE program. You might need to have your mind fixed at the Standard Processing Time.

Thanks for this. He says the program is offered only for fall section. Can he apply for a different program at centennial. In that case, can he use the same visa?
Hi Bro

You mean your Cousin didn't pay the 2,650 initial deposit or any other money before he applied for the Visa?

1. Yeah I am not working for him
2. Giving me full amt now won't be possible but could give me up to 70% before application is submitted
3. My fear is my Dad acct hasn't been busy lately business is down a bit.

I also have a business that is registered though slow for now. Can I use my business to do inflow and outflow of cash?

Is your business registered? If not do the registration as soon as you can. Tell your friend to move the lump sum into your business account. Start moving the cash in and out in huge form. Have people pay into your account. Grow your business account with this and leave enough as available balance.

I dont know your age and years you have been out of school, but being a self sponsor would help you than being sponsored by 3rd party in Canada.

I dont know if your business is in line with your proposed course of study, make sure what you do presently is in line with the course you are going for

Wouldn't have loved to consider the business at all as no acct has been created with business name.

See my reply above and also advice me accordingly

Thank you

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by bepositive11: 10:48am On Oct 12, 2022
I think it'll be hard for you to justify sponsoring yourself alone. First off, it will seem like you're spending your whole life savings and the visa officer may question the authenticity of your source of funds based on your salary and years of experience.

I think maybe you can ask your friend to send the money to your parents, then ask your parents to transfer the money to you as a gift deed. That way, your parents don't have to show their own bank statement.

That way you can strengthen your parents as home ties and you can say that they will help you with any other additional expenses.

Just something to think about. Again, wait for opinions from others and do some more research. There are other online forums you can get advice from as well.

I don't recommend you outright lying to IRCC. For every claim you make, you will need to have evidence to back it up. It's better to omit certain information than to outright lie to them. They really hate being lied to.

DandyJ:

Good point for SOP I guess.
Salary will double with better opportunity when I get international experience nd certificate.

With parents as sponsor, I won't lie their account currently won't be able to handle this application hence I am trying to figure out how best I can be the sponsor myself. Should he put the lump sum early in my account trust me enough to leave it?

Den I add to it and probably when applying I won't need to show the Lumpsum since it will obviously be outside the 4months MBS.

Should incase he is unable to help in the way above, should I accept the one he brings and expect the lumpsum later? Maybe this time I will lie that I sold a property (just kidding but I will sha lie)

Make una still help me reason am o

Most of these so called gurus are actually agents/business owners/consultants who charge for their services.

But who charged you? If you don't want to pay anyone, before reaching out to them, check out their profile description. You can easily tell whether they charge by doing that.

Better yet, do your own homework. Go through online resources -- blogs, SOP samples, YouTube videos. You can also search through older versions of this thread on Nairaland.

Some people here review SOPs for free though. You can ask them to reveal themselves to you.

I don't review anyone's SOP so please don't send me an email. If you have questions for me, you can post them here.

Edit: Don't forget to check out Olokings post. He shared solid SOP and LOE templates

Editing , proof reading , venting and writing it’s not easy . Content writing is a career on its own. Sincerely speaking if u can’t go thru d rigorous research online to writing ur sop urself den u hv to pay those dat wud do it for u.
But the truth is , no one can tell ur story better than urself , so it’s cool if u do everytin concerning d SOP tin urself via d guides u see here and on google
This sop thing is a tip of an iceberg of how studying in Canada is . Assignments ,quizzes , projects are done by individual… combine education and work together ain’t easy over there as most ppl think it is

Yahwehsdota:
I'm back with more details following our PPR.

I actually wrote this testimony on the day we submitted our application trusting God in advance that He will grant my family of 5 visa's and He did. I'm testifying on behalf of my husband since I'm the one that basically got all the information here on his behalf. Ours was an imperfect application with sponsor, gift deed and other inadequacies but God came through for us. God was with us from the very beginning and even the choice of school for my husband came from Him. I heard clearly in my spirit "don't be afraid, I'll help you (Isaiah 41:10)this visa is a done deal" and I held unto God's word in the midst of challenges. We submitted our application in July for resumption in September and I told God to please make it happen fast cos He promised early help in His word (Ps 46) and He came through for us.

I want to specially thank my Father in heaven, my Savior, Redeemer, King, Deliverer, Helper for bringing this to come to pass indeed we are the one's that God showed mercy and we have returned with our headstones of grace and dances of celebration!!

I also want to thank all nairalanders for their contributions and tips, not forgetting the gurus and all those who were always ready to answer questions regardless of how silly they were. You guys are the real MVPS. All tips for this application were gotten from nairaland. I prayed a lot, joined nsppd prayers, fasted 3ce a week and declared the word of God personalizing it over our application using the following scriptures: Gen 39:21, 2cor 1:20, prov 21:1, Ps 102:13, John 14:14, Ps 34:4-5 but it wasn't about my prayer, God showed me mercy and His grace qualified us.

We are first time applicants and these are the documents we submitted for my husband's application (student PhD) , SOWP for me and Study Permit/visit visa for 3 kids

For my husband's SOP, he wrote on the importance of the course to his career, its benefit to his place of work, personal business, community and Nigeria as a whole, he wrote on his experiences and educational background and linked all to the proposed program. He broke down POF in a tabular form for clarity purpose.
Also, he gave them strong reasons why he needs to go with his kids and wife. He also dealt extensively on Home Ties which are parents, siblings, commitment in church, charitable organizations, professional associations, landed properties, personal business and included available pictures to prove.

God bless you all and for all those waiting keep trusting God and believing, you are next in Jesus mighty name .

Congratulations....God is good
Submitted 2 days before yours. My family is next in Jesus name, Amen
