Good morning all.
July 5th applicant here. Joined nairaland right now to ask if it makes sense now to reach out to IRCC via webforms and emails, since eligibility review for me apparently hasn't begun yet. I'm all ears to all opinions and suggestions. Thank you.

Same here July 5th applicant…nothing yet too, though have started sending mail now

I don't know much about German immigration. I think it was going to take him 10+ years before he could apply for either permanent residence or citizenship.

There are some allegations that African doctors are usually less paid. I don't know for sure.

There will always be discrimination by somebody. Even in Nigeria, can one honestly say that we (some) do not discriminate against ourselves?

Wow... that's a very long time! Thank God for Canada!

True, there is discrimination everywhere.

Bepositive11 you really are proud and this just proved it you have never really apologized for something and now you are saying she should show you prove that the babe yesterday is not her. Omo a simple word sorry can end all this just close your eyes and type it. You never really said sorry even after calling me a kid you just used a corner to opt out of saying the word.
It's like they did not teach you that song there are five magic words.....

Until you apologise to me, don't expect any apologies from me. Stop acting like you're innocent. You're far from it. You're the one who attacked me first. Twice for that matter. You're the one who insulted me first.

Don't even bother demanding any apologies from me.

If you don't mind, how exactly is the immigration process too difficult in Germany? I wonder if it has something to do with discrimination against Africans. Is that the case?

Do immigrants face difficulty even when they've mastered the German language?

1.. If you studied in a German University then you can apply for PR after two years of working.
Note: The job must be related to your academic qualification in Germany, you also must be able to communicate In German (B1 Level I think).
2.. You are also right about the 8 years option (you must have lived in Germany for 8 years with a residence permit). But then again, you must be able to communicate in German

Nigerians who are educated (and wrote their own exams), have a better grasp of grammary, syntax, etc, than the average english speaking person in USA, Canada, UK.

Remember, I said average.

bepositive11:

May I know why you asked? Just remove English teacher from that list. Nigerians can't compete with native English speakers there especially if they have a Nigerian accent.

But when it comes to English teaching, will a Nigerian teacher with a Nigerian accent be hired over a native English-speaking English Teacher with a Canadian accent? Isn't there discrimination?

Note, I'm not attacking you at all. I really want to know this because I've seen a documentary about discrimination against black students and black teachers in Canada and I was shocked.

Thanks for sharing this information. It turns out that Germany doesn't allow dual citizenship though. Canada is definitely better for immigration in comparison to Germany.

Please send the documentary.

Nigerian teachers in Nigeria do not all have "thick Nigerian accents". Many schools even have phonetics teachers.

Nigerians who go abroad, within 3 weeks, don day twist tongue anyhow.

Canada is actually very welcoming to different accents. Teaching english is not really about accents. Especially from secondary up. It is about structure, lexicon, grammar, etc.

To be sincere, people migrate to where they have better assurances of true wellbeing, hence Canada with a clear cut pathway and less stringent requirements seems more welcoming to immigrant. Plus, indigenous language understanding as a critical requirement speaks less for diversity and inclusion, sub-communities can be formed, and not everyone got a good ear for language.

I no even look dia at all.

Anyway, I will just wash my hands from all that matter. I don't care. And I won't apologise to anyone until I see solid proof. I'm out!

Oga, what I said was that new passport will not be in the old number his expired passport was issued.

Every new passport is issued a new and distinct number.

It's not SIM Card retrieval you are doing oooo.

Thanks for saying what you are sure of.

The way they are doing it now, your old passport number will still be on the new passport. Only say what you are sure of.

The only big problem with Canada immigration is the long wait time. But I guess it's worth the wait.
