Hi guys, please can I get a sample sponsorship letter and do I need to notarise it? Secondly, what is Article of association and memorandum and how do I go abt this? My sponsor is a company that I am a board member/co-founder, this is different from my current employment (because I have a 9-5 ), and the said company is my sole sponsor. How do I go abt this without raising any red flags? How do I bring my 9-5 into this picture without coming off as deceptive or should I be silent on it? I have fully paid tuition for first semester and I have 6 months bank statement of my sponsor (Turnover abt N1b). I plan to also add value of personal properties example lands and 2015 accord. both worth over 10m. Please I need guidance to do this properly. |

msbaileyz:Since the money was gifted to you, it is now your own money so your application will be considered as self funded. As for the documents that you will have to submit to support the property sale, I'm not sure. I'll leave someone who knows better to answer that. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Joedave25: 10:47am On Oct 17, 2022 |
@Enddystar, If you're looking at using it as your assets/hometies.You will need to attach the title documents (eg.Land receipt/Irrevocable power of Attorney/Deed of conveyance, Survey plan etc) and mention it as one of your newtworth in your SOP. I hope this helps Enddystar: |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Joedave25: 11:01am On Oct 17, 2022 |
@marooooo, You will need to shed more light on your relationship with your company. Are u a director or an ordinary employee?.....because the IRCC would like to know ***why your company is sponsoring you out of many employees in their payroll. ***what your company stands to gain by embarking on this project among other questions I hope this helps. marooooo: |

bepositive11:So meaning that, even if it’s self funded and the lump sum doesn’t reflect in the 6 months statements, I still need to explain add my mums property sale documents and the gift deed to my application? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Joedave25: 11:06am On Oct 17, 2022 |
@ ABIODUNDE, It depends on the content of your Letter of Admission.Whereas some requires prospective student to make compulsory deposit others do not. In any case Tuition deposit is not compulsory but it shows some sort of more commitment on your part when IRCC reviews your application. I hope this helps. ABIODUNDE: |

msbaileyz:Yup yup. Better to leave no stone unturned. That basically explains the source of the funds. In your case, the question of whether the funds will be accessible won't even be there at all. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Nobody: 11:19am On Oct 17, 2022 |
msbaileyz:Yes. Please reread Olokings response. There has to be a correlation between your income and your bank balance, if not it will raise suspicions. If your income and years of employment is not enough to justify your bank balance, you need to include details about the property sale and the gift deed. See this example. Let's say you have 50 million as your bank balance. Your monthly salary is 1 million and you have been working for 2 years. This means that in the last 2 years, you have earned 2 years × 12 months × 1 million = 24 million So your salary and years of employment does not justify your bank balance. If you claim to only have that job and no other source of income, the visa officer will become suspicious because they will know that the remaining 26 million (50 million - 24 million) came from somewhere else. I hope you understand it now. |

Hi lovely family, I have been able to book my medical appointment by contacting the IOM and I was asked to come with my Covid vaccination certificate but, I don’t have it and my appointment is on Wednesday. Please, is it compulsory? Will they attend to me if I go for my medical appointment without the Covid vaccination certificate? Kindly help and advise a loyal brother. Thanks.

@ Klare, You can start by a) defining your goal and budget......how many years program and funding. b) Intended program - should align either with your first degree or working experience among other things..... career progression is key in this journey c) Create time and go through the links on the 1st page of this thread and the previous thread c).look for schools and their admission requirements (must be a DLI). etc I hope this helps. Please I need advice from you all, my passport expires next year July and I’m about gathering all my documents to apply for my study permit for resumption May 2023. Im thinking of applying for a new passport before applying for my study permit. Please note the reason I will be allowed to apply for a new one now is because I just got married and I will be changing the surname to my husband name. Please also note that the date I got for capturing is mid December or should I go ahead and apply for a new passport while using my old passport to apply for my study permit and then update IRCC when the new passport is out. Thank you. Please I need advice |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Tolifefun: 1:43pm On Oct 17, 2022 |
Ameliag:you can apply with the old international passport if you're not changing name but if changing name , December is not far, go and capture , collect your passport and apply |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by JustMellow: 3:28pm On Oct 17, 2022 |
KRTL:Hello KRTL, It will be best to maintain the program level you got approved for. Since the change of rules regarding program/DLI change by IRCC, it is not clear yet to fully understand the impact on PGWP in real life. Only if you can justify your reasons for such an action/decision, then it's fine. If not, it MAY cause an issue during your PGWP if adequate justification is not provided. It is up to the VO to apply discretion. Changing your institution is fine, but it will be wise to maintain your program level. Your school will always agree to change your program. You can speak to your DLI immigration advisor or interview recent international graduates. Success is all I Wish You! |

SoftdudeKay:Hello SoftdudeKay, Your eligibility will be updated on your online account once it starts, but this is not usually the case in recent times. You can also request your notes to find out. You can also reach out to an MP in your DLI region for assistance to help you enquire on your behalf or get someone in Canada to help you try to reach IRCC on a local call. Success is all I Wish You! |

Ameliag:Hello Ameliag, Congratulations! If I am correct, 9 months is still a long time. Apply with what you have now and when you get PPR, update your passport information with IRCC. It is safe to include a succinct letter to guide the understanding of the officer. Success is all I Wish You! |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by JustMellow: 3:57pm On Oct 17, 2022 |
Godpikin4:Hello Godpikin4, It may be difficult to convince the office of a study progression or being a genuine student, especially if PA does not have prior work exposure in the health field. It will be best to maintain a related exposure to a work experience if it has been 3 years or more (my suggestion) the individual has been out of school and/or previous studies if within 1 – 2 years (also my suggestion). Success is all I Wish You! |
