I laugh at those people who are happy for the emergence of BRICS, headed by China and Russia. Una see West wey all of una they yab, una nor know what u enjoy in a real democractic society. Ask Chinese, Russian and Iranian citizens them go tell una how far. You hate America, you hate America, oya wait for Russia and China, pack your family go there and tell us how far after 1 year 2 Likes |

Kasssandra:Many people commenting didn't even read the article sef, it's a bid to combat China's citizens who seeks safe haven to perpetrate crime. You China is highly export dependent country so it easy for some of it citizens to act like legitimate exporters to fraud people. |

China doesn't care about ur rights, The only thing stopping them from bullying everybody is the US who atleast respects and protects ur right as a democratic nation. |

Blakjewelry: My attention was drawn to the issue yesterday when I read of a similar report online concerning a Chinese station in the UK...and I kind of was surprised. The report mentioned that there were similar stations 'around the world'...but it did not mention countries (it was a UK news site after all). That's why I wasn't surprised by today's report. Nigeria would most likely be on the list. |

jaxxy: Only if it satisfies the US's interests....otherwise, they can and have imposed dictatorial rulers on other countries. Same as china would do and has done (eg North Korea and Cuba). As one US diplomat once said, there is no such thing as friends in international relations, there are permanent interests. China is propping up a dictatorial rulership in North Korea, because it suits its security interests to have a buffer between it and the US security net in South Korea and Japan. The US is propping up the Ukranians to keep Russia on their toes, ditto the Russians to the breakaway states in Ukraine and Georgia...and Moldova...to keep the EU, NATO and the US on their toes. I admire the US, but over the 20th century the US propped up a lot of harsh dictators in South America, Africa and Asia because its interests were served doing so. Same as Russia did under the USSR. And so forth. |

neonly: Unpopular opinion : while I don’t like the disregard for sovereignty, I understand the rationale behind this . In corrupt and 3rd world countries like Nigeria where chinese nationals are coming in and illegally mining our gold and other resources , this is a way to know those that are spoiling the image of China abroad so that once they return they can be arrested and possibly executed . We know that our security apparatus collect bribes , provide security to these criminals and prevent justice from being carried out . The morality and respect for adherence to rules and justice of a nation is the main sign of development . In this nigeria , Lebanese and chinese especially abuse our country men and women . Beating , killing and using the Nigerian Police particularly to carry out these atrocities on Nigerians . Using NGOs to track these illegal activities is a good move. 2 Likes |

If they feel their citizen is giving them a bad name abroad away from what they are trying to portray then they can discuss with foreign nations on it. As Long as it restricted to their citizen only. Modification in all categories is permissive. Moreover most third world Nations have not shown proper policing in all this regards. So help should be welcome. |

Kasssandra: I don't think the US interferes much with democratic nations. They do more with nations that abuse human rights. That said I understand the concept of international relations and interests which is fairly normal far all nations to sustain their goals and global peace or sanity. 2 Likes |
