Hi,
For blue card, did you submit an A1 certificate or was it a requirement to speak German?
Also, did you use an NPC birth certificate or a declaration? (assuming you were born before 92).
I already had my interview with an NPC cert my parents got for me 11yrs ago.
Although I expect they would request a declaration via mail, I just want to know if anyone else has had success with an NPC cert.

Codedboy95:
I got my visa yesterday after waiting 9 weeks post appointment/interview. thanks to everyone here, most especially @timbs001.
JFYI, I was asked to bring payslip to verify one of my past foreign work experience. So anyone who is applying or has applied for a blue card visa should bear in mind that they can ask for you to provide bank statements to verify your work experience

It depends. If you guys got married before he left Naija for the first time, then you don't need to..

if not, then there are chances VO might recall you. Keep your fingers crossed and go home, hoping for the best.

I hold PR too. My spouse and I paid verification fee.

Stay blessed and good luck!!

Thank you so much. We got married after he left for Germany. I will just wait for an update from them. Fingers crossed!

For blue card, you don't need A1 certificate. I was born after 92 so I used NPC certificate

The relocation expert in Germany told me i didn't need a preapproval since my MSc was done in Germany but this delay is saying something else oo. I had my interview on the 12th August. God please intervene

@Codedboy95 said he waited 9 weeks, so I think you'll hear from them soon.
I also think they'll work towards doing everything before your job starts, but if the start date has passed already then maybe contact them.

My own 9 weeks just started :/

Unfortunately, my job start date was 4th October 2022 and i still haven't heard from them. I contacted my employer and i was told it is not a problem since they can always adjust the start date on my contract but i do not know if the German embassy share the same view. It is well ooo. I believe God is in control as always.

you can't search for any lawyer, lawyer will be the one to reach you, and pls be patience too, besides it depends on your location too.

hope all the documents you submitted are complete? If yes!! all you have to do is to be patience, I was verified on July and it took 3month and 3 weeks for my lawyer to come, so be patience, the journey needs alot of patience and prayers, you should be expecting them anytime soon.

Sadly, The embassy doesn't care about your start date. My initial start date was 1st of august but because of the delay, my employer kept moving it and now it is November 1st. Why they were not so worried because I started working with them remotely. so maybe you can propose working remotely with them if that is something they are open to but stay positive, I they will get in contact with you next week
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Merryzu: 7:57am On Oct 07, 2022
Thank you so much for your comment!! I spoke with my employer and they said my start date will be adjusted. Hopefully 1st November will be the new start date just like yours. My job is not an IT job but 100% scientific, so starting remotely will be difficult.

Can anyone that recently moved their family (wife and kids) on an EU Blue Card share the duration they waited after the family reunion interview? My wife and kids had their interview on the 6th of September with all documents checking out fine, no need for verification, apartment size confirmed okay, and all things checked out, but we are yet to get a feedback. I’ve emailed the visa back office but no response. I’ll appreciate your help.

Please how long did it take your wife and kids to get an appointment? What was the duration between their application and interview date?

I understand there was a mix up somewhere. On the attendance list their names were on skilled workers instead of family reunion. It was also said that they do not attend to family reunion visa appointments on Fridays.

Were they given new appointment date or they will re-book? Also is it a mistake from them or your wife?
Because to wait for 14 months is not a small thing, ahhhh God

Oh wow, I was lucky then cos I had my own family reunion visa interview on a Friday but with a preapproval. Could be I was allowed to have the interview because of the preapproval document.
I hope they are able to sort this out for them quickly
